This month was given to us (see verse above) to purify ourselves. We should give charity, tzedakah and make sure we gave the proper tithe to have continued sustenance in the following year. He quotes a section from Zohar (below) where we read that on Pesach we are judged on the crops of our fields, which is the aspect of the ‘fruitfulness’ of our actions. Giving Ma’aser and Tzedaka is very important during the first two weeks of Nisan. It’s the time to ‘catch-up’ with what we missed in giving ma’aser during the previous year. Most people do their taxes by that time and can find out if they gave less than 10% of their net income. The ma’aser should be divided among all channels of Light that support your spiritual growth. If they bring Light into your life then you should support them and avoid bread of shame or other negative aspects.

If the Daily Zohar adds to your spiritual growth and understanding please click here to give.

Zohar Chadash Beresheet (Hasulam #585.
