29. אֶלָּא עַל שֶׁלֹּא הֶאֱמִין בְּיִרְמְיָהוּ וְלֹא יִסֵּר אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁחָשַׁב שֶׁכֻּלָּם צַדִּיקִים כְּמוֹתוֹ. וְיִרְמְיָה הָיָה אוֹמֵר לוֹ, וְלֹא הֶאֱמִין בּוֹ, וְלָכֵן נִתְפַּס בַּחֲטָאֵיהֶם. וְעוֹד, שֶׁהַלְּבָנָה הִנְמִיכָה אֶת אוֹרָהּ, וְרָצְתָה לְהִסָּתֵם.

Zohar Bechukotai<\/strong>
\nContinued from previous DZ<\/p>\n

The Zohar tells us that the sin of King Yoshiyahu was that he didn’t believe what the prophet Jeremiah told him about the people. He was expected to carry the message of the prophet to the people but he ignored it.<\/p>\n

Even though the king was ‘corrected’ later by death, the people didn’t get away with their sins and idol worshiping.<\/p>\n

We can not feel ‘safe’ if the leader doesn’t take us on the right path. Each one of us has the responsibility for his actions. That is why the Torah is given to us to study and follow. If the leader doesn’t follow the Torah we should look for another teacher.
\nWe should always focus our study on the Torah, and Zohar as the highest level of Torah study. We should always ask the teacher to give us exact references to the source in the Zohar and Torah because it is our responsibility.
\nWhen we come in front of the supernal<\/a> judge we can not say, “my teacher told me what to do”. We are not slaves to people (idol worshiping), we are individual souls with individual correction process<\/a>. We should follow the Torah and be on the righteous path .
\nThe Zohar quotes the Torah to explain the secrets and the lessons. The Zohar is not a new Torah or teaching but expiation of the existing and only Torah.<\/p>\n

The Daily Zohar continues the studying methods of the Zohar. We bring the Zohar section in Aramaic, the Hebrew translations and the exact quotes from the Torah or Bible. As we see, almost every Zohar paragraph quotes the Torah or Bible. I take responsibility for the teaching and let you follow with your books to expand your study and ask questions. I want to give thanks to Lea and others who contribute with comments, quotes and links to expand the study.<\/p>\n

The correct way to teach is to align ourselves with the Torah and the Zohar. Some people, including teachers, give ‘credits’ and ‘weight’ to their own ideas by claiming the source to be the Zohar. As good students we should always ask our teachers with respect for references because we want to expand on the study by ourselves.
\nIf the teacher doesn’t have exact reference he will avoid or delay the answer but as more people keep coming with similar request, the teacher will be more careful in his teaching .<\/p>\n

As you teacher, I promise you to always bring reference and be open to your questions as I always do. After all, it’s on my head.<\/p>\n

I will add this line at the bottom of every study to remind myself and you to take responsibility. Follow the Torah and Zohar, not ‘dreamers’ with ego and\/or selfish agenda.<\/p>\n
