31. כָּךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא רָצָה לָדוּר עִם יִשְׂרָאֵל, מֶה עָשָׂה? לָקַח אֶת חֶמְדָּתוֹ וְהוֹרִיד לָהֶם לְיִשְׂרָאֵל. אָמַר לָהֶם: יִשְׂרָאֵל, הִנֵּה מַשְׁכּוֹנִי אֶצְלְכֶם כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא אֶפָּרֵד מִכֶּם לְעוֹלָמִים. וְאַף אַף גַּב שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא הִתְרַחֵק מֵאִתָּנוּ, אֶת הַמַּשְׁכּוֹן הִשְׁאִיר בְּיָדֵינוּ, וְאָנוּ שׁוֹמְרִים אֶת אוֹתָהּ חֶמְדָּתוֹ. מִי שֶׁיִּרְצֶה אֶת מַשְׁכּוֹנוֹ, יָבֹא לָדוּר אֶצְלֵנוּ. לָכֵן וְנָתַתִּי מִשְׁכָּנִי בְּתוֹכֲכֶם, מַשְׁכּוֹן אֶתֵּן בְּיֶדְכֶם כְּדֵי שֶׁאָדוּר עִמָּכֶם. וְאַף עַל גַּב שֶׁיִּשְׂרָאֵל כָּעֵת בַּגָּלוּת, מַשְׁכּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֶצְלָם, וְלֹא עָזְבוּ אוֹתוֹ לְעוֹלָמִים.
\n32. וְלֹא תִגְעַל נַפְשִׁי אֶתְכֶם. לְאָדָם שֶׁאוֹהֵב אֶת חֲבֵרוֹ וְרוֹצֶה לָדוּר עִמּוֹ, מֶה עָשָׂה? לָקַח מִטָּתוֹ וֶהֱבִיאָהּ לְבֵיתוֹ. אָמַר, זוֹ מִטָּתִי בְּבֵיתְךָ כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא אֶתְרַחֵק מִמְּךָ, מִמִּטָּתְךָ וּמִכֵּלֶיךָ. כָּךְ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אָמַר, וְנָתַתִּי מִשְׁכָּנִי בְּתוֹכֲכֶם וְלֹא תִגְעַל נַפְשִׁי אֶתְכֶם. הִנֵּה מִטָּתִי בְּבֵיתְכֶם. כֵּיוָן שֶׁמִּטָּתִי עִמָּכֶם, תֵּדְעוּ שֶׁלֹּא אֶפָּרֵד מִכֶּם, וְלָכֵן וְלֹא תִגְעַל נַפְשִׁי אֶתְכֶם.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Bechukotai<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leviticus 26:11<\/a>
\n“וְנָתַתִּי מִשְׁכָּנִי, בְּתוֹכְכֶם; וְלֹא-תִגְעַל נַפְשִׁי, אֶתְכֶם”
\n“’Moreover, I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject you.”<\/p>\n

The root word for ‘My dwelling’ ‘מִשְׁכָּנִי’ is שכן , which is the same as for Shechina and ‘neighbor’. The Shechina is the dwelling place for the Light. She is the aspect of vessel for the upper Light.
\nWithout making a connection to the Shechina we cannot draw Light from the upper sefirot. Because of our inequities we were sent to exile, which is the aspect of the Light distancing itself from us. People hugging and kissing the Western Wall are still in exile. If one’s heart is held close to the Light then the pain of the exile is felt greater because as one comes closer to the Light he gets the feeling of what would be the experience when the Light is revealed in full presence.<\/p>\n

With infinite mercy and love to his children, YHVH<\/a> let the Shechina stays with us so we can maintain flow of Light to the world.<\/p>\n

Without  Shechina we would be looked at as darkness and subject to judgments. This is one of the reason God left the Shechina with us so we would ‘look good’ and not get to the point of ‘rejection’ .<\/p>\n
