33. מִי שֶׁיֵּשׁ בּוֹ מַעֲשֶׂה טוֹב אוֹ שֶׁהוּא (אִם טוֹב הוּא) בַּעַל חֶשְׁבּוֹן, הֲרֵי בֵּאֲרוּהָ, שֶׁבְּכָל לַיְלָה וְלַיְלָה טֶרֶם יִשְׁכַּב וְטֶרֶם יִישַׁן, צָרִיךְ אָדָם לַעֲשׂוֹת חֶשְׁבּוֹן מִמַּעֲשָׂיו שֶׁעָשָׂה כָּל אוֹתוֹ יוֹם, וְיָשׁוּב מֵהֶם וִיבַקֵּשׁ עֲלֵיהֶם רַחֲמִים. מָה הַטַּעַם בְּאוֹתָהּ הַשָּׁעָה? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁבְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה עֵץ הַמָּוֶת שׁוֹרֶה בָעוֹלָם, וְכָל בְּנֵי הָעוֹלָם טוֹעֲמִים טַעַם הַמָּוֶת, וְצָרִיךְ בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה לַעֲשׂוֹת חֶשְׁבּוֹן מַעֲשָׂיו וְיוֹדֶה עֲלֵיהֶם, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה שֶׁל הַמָּוֶת, וְאֵלֶּה נִקְרָאִים בַּעֲלֵי חֶשְׁבּוֹן.
\n34. וְכֵן מִי שֶׁמִּשְׁתַּדֵּל בְּדַעַת וּבְחָכְמָה לָדַעַת אֶת רִבּוֹנוֹ, כְּשֶׁיַּעֲבִירוּ אוֹתוֹ לַחֲזוֹת וּלְהִסְתַּכֵּל בְּאוֹתָם רְשָׁעִים שֶׁנִּטְרְדוּ בַגֵּיהִנֹּם וּבְדַרְגַּת הַשְּׁאוֹל, וְכֻלָּם צוֹוְחִים מֵאוֹתָן דְּרָגוֹת – הוּא לֹא יִשָּׁאֵר שָׁם וְלֹא יִמָּצֵא בֵינֵיהֶם, וְעַל זֶה אֵין מַעֲשֶׂה וְחֶשְׁבּוֹן וְדַעַת בִּשְׁאוֹל, וְלֹא יִמָּצֵא אֶלָּא לְמַעְלָה לְמַעְלָה, בְּמָקוֹם שֶׁכַּמָּה אוֹרוֹת וּמְנוֹרוֹת וְכַמָּה כִסּוּפִים שׁוֹרִים שָׁם, וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בָּא (בּוֹ) (וּמִשְׁתּוֹקֵק לוֹ) לְהִשְׁתַּעֲשֵׁעַ עִם שְׁאָר הַצַּדִּיקִים שֶׁבְּגַן עֵדֶן. אַשְׁרֵי חֵלֶק הַצַּדִּיקִים בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וּבָעוֹלָם הַבָּא, עֲלֵיהֶם כָּתוּב (תהלים קמ) אַךְ צַדִּיקִים יוֹדוּ לִשְׁמֶךָ יֵשְׁבוּ רְשָׁעִים אֶת פָּנֶיךָ.<\/div>\n

\n“כֹּל אֲשֶׁר תִּמְצָא יָדְךָ, לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּכֹחֲךָ–עֲשֵׂה: כִּי אֵין מַעֲשֶׂה וְחֶשְׁבּוֹן, וְדַעַת וְחָכְמָה, בִּשְׁאוֹל,אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה הֹלֵךְ שָׁמָּה”
\n“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning (accounting) nor knowledge nor wisdom.”<\/p>\n

When we go to sleep we experience the aspect of death. It’s a good time to do personal account of the day’s activities and find where we did wrong and where we could’ve done better.
\nMaking repentance<\/a> before going to sleep helps the soul in its process and most of the time the soul receives Light of mercy that helps it with soul cleansing.<\/p>\n

Those who make efforts to study the Torah, the name of YHVH<\/a> (Zohar and Kabbalah) and connect to Chokmah<\/a> are saved from the correction after life in the levels of Sheol. After death they are taken through the gates of Gehinnom<\/a> to see the sufferings of the wicked to understand their rewards. After that they enter the Garden of Eden to be with the Tzadikim.<\/p>\n
