35. וְעָבַד הַלֵּוִי הוּא אֶת עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְגוֹ’. רַבִּי אַבָּא פָּתַח, (ישעיה מ) הַיּוֹשֵׁב עַל חוּג הָאָרֶץ וְגוֹ’. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, כְּשֶׁרָצָה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לִבְרֹא הָעוֹלָם, עָלָה בְרָצוֹן לְפָנָיו וּבָרָא אוֹתוֹ בַּתּוֹרָה, (כְּשֶׁעָלָה בְרָצוֹן לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לִבְרֹא הָעוֹלָם, הִסְתַּכֵּל בַּתּוֹרָה וּבָרָא אוֹתוֹ) וּבָהּ נִתְקַן. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (משלי ח) בַּהֲכִינוֹ שָׁמַיִם שָׁם אָנִי. וְכָתוּב (שם) וָאֶהְיֶה אֶצְלוֹ אָמוֹן. וַהֲרֵי הֵקִימוּ, אַל תִּקְרֵי אָמוֹן אֶלָּא אֻמָּן.
\n36. כְּשֶׁבָּא לִבְרֹא אָדָם, וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר, אָמְרָה תוֹרָה: וְכִי לְחִנָּם נִקְרֵאתָ אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וְרַב חֶסֶד? בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה שֶׁיָּצָא אָדָם לָעוֹלָם, הָיָה זִיו פַּרְצוּפוֹ מִלְמַעְלָה וּמִלְּמַטָּה, וְהָיוּ פוֹחֲדִים מִמֶּנּוּ כָּל הַבְּרִיּוֹת, וּפֵרְשׁוּהָ. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, לֹא הִתְקַיֵּם הָעוֹלָם וְלֹא הֻשְׁלַם עַד אוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה שֶׁיָּצָא אָדָם בִּשְׁלֵמוּת הַכֹּל, וְהִתְקַדֵּשׁ הַיּוֹם וְנִתְקַן כִּסֵּא קָדוֹשׁ לַמֶּלֶךְ, אָז הִשְׁתַּלְּמוּ עֶלְיוֹנִים וְתַחְתּוֹנִים, וְנִמְצְאוּ שְׂמָחוֹת בְּכָל הָעוֹלָמוֹת.<\/div>\n

Numbers 18:23<\/a>
\n“וְעָבַד הַלֵּוִי הוּא, אֶת-עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, וְהֵם, יִשְׂאוּ עֲו‍ֹנָם: חֻקַּת עוֹלָם, לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם, וּבְתוֹךְ בְּנֵייִשְׂרָאֵל, לֹא יִנְחֲלוּ נַחֲלָה”
\n“Only the Levites shall perform the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, and among the children of Israel<\/a> they shall have no inheritance.”<\/p>\n

24: “כִּי אֶת-מַעְשַׂר בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֲשֶׁר יָרִימוּ לַיהוָה תְּרוּמָה, נָתַתִּי לַלְוִיִּם, לְנַחֲלָה; עַל-כֵּן,אָמַרְתִּי לָהֶם, בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, לֹא יִנְחֲלוּ נַחֲלָה”
\n“For the tithe of the children of Israel<\/a>, which they offer as an offering to YHVH<\/a>, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance; therefore I have said concerning them, ‘They shall have no land inheritance among the children of Israel<\/a>.’”<\/p>\n

The tribe of the Levites didn’t receive a share in the Land because they were dedicated to work in the Holy Temple. YHVH<\/a> ordered the tithe of the Israelites<\/a> that goes to the Holy as inheritance for the Levites.
\nThe tithe is a process of elevating material energy in Malchut<\/a> and transforming it into Light that supports the vessel and increases its potential.
\nWe lost the Holy Temple because of our inequities. Nowadays we give tithe to support continuation of life in this world. We give to the poor who doesn’t have sustenance and mainly to those who bring Light to the world and by that add sustenance to the world.<\/p>\n

The Levites are the aspect of the corrected left column<\/a>. The Zohar connects them to the process of creation, which we will explain in the following studies. Because of their great spiritual role, whey were not given land, which is material , but duties to serve the Holy, which is spiritual work. The tithe they received supported their work to transform material energy to Light.
\nKorach was a Levite and had in him a natural desire to serve the Light. It was included with personal desires and that caused great negativity and spiritual disconnection. He had to die to stop that negativity from spreading on the left column<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Levites were ‘paid’ for their service in the Holy Temple with the tithe that was given to the Holy. I am a Levite and I feel blessed for having the duty of spreading the Light of the Torah and the Holy Zohar in the world.
\nThis Zohar lesson is a good place to encourage you to give your tithe to channels of Light like the Daily Zohar and its projects. It’s from the Torah and it’s an important precept that affects your progress in life.<\/p>\n
