\n31. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה הָיוּ יָדָיו מְלֻכְלָכוֹת, וְנָטַל יָדָיו וּבֵרַךְ טֶרֶם שֶׁנָּטַל. אָמַר לוֹ, אִם תַּלְמִידֵי רַב שְׁמַעְיָה הֶחָסִיד אַתֶּם, לֹא הָיָה לָכֶם לְבָרֵךְ בְּיָדַיִם מְזֹהָמוֹת, וּמִי שֶׁמְּבָרֵךְ בְּיָדַיִם מְזֹהָמוֹת חַיָּב מִיתָה.<\/div>\n

Zohar Balak<\/strong>
\nThis study of the Zohar is part of a long article, titled “The Yenuka (child)”, that include discussions with a wondrous child that knows a lot of deep Torah secrets.
\nThe articles begins with paragraph 29 when Rabbi Yehuda and Rabbi Yitzchak arrived to a village where they were hosted by the wife of Rav Hamnuna Saba<\/a>. Rav Hamnuna and his wife had a small child. While they were there he came from school. His mother<\/a> asked him to greet the special and honorable guests. He started to approach them, then stopped and went back telling his mother<\/a> that they didn’t recite the prayer of Shema Israel<\/a> on that morning and he can’t come closer to them. The boy explained that he learned that a person who didn’t recite the ‘Shema’ prayer during the morning time, he’s to be ignored.<\/p>\n

The two rabbis heard him with wonder, raised their hands and blessed him. They said that the boy’s words are true because on that day they were busy with a Mitzvah or supporting a bride and a groom that didn’t have enough for their wedding and their unification would have been delayed without their support. Since they didn’t see other people helping them, they immediately made efforts to help them.<\/p>\n

They also explained that those who are busy doing a mitzvah (precept), can skip the mitzvah. They asked the boy about how he knew that and he answered that the scent of their cloths revealed that when he came closer to them.<\/p>\n

Lessons:
\nThere are many lessons to learn from this Zohar and we will do it during the following studies on Zohar Balak.
\nOne of the ways to study is by ‘digging’ questions from the Zohar text. Looking for answers is a process of creating vessels that invite light. The more questions you dig out from the text the greater the light that you can receive. Because you own the questions so is the light that comes to fill it.
