Leviticus 26:44<\/a><\/p>\n

“וְאַף-גַּם-זֹאת בִּהְיוֹתָם בְּאֶרֶץ אֹיְבֵיהֶם, לֹא-מְאַסְתִּים וְלֹא-גְעַלְתִּים לְכַלֹּתָם–לְהָפֵר בְּרִיתִי, אִתָּם:  כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה, אֱלֹהֵיהֶם”<\/p>\n

“And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them; for I am YHVH<\/a> their God.”<\/p>\n

This paragraph from the Idra Zuta, refers to God promise to be with the Israelites<\/a> even if they are in exile. His covenant for ever stands.<\/p>\n

We are fasting this year on the 10th of Av because the ninth was  on Shabbat. The fast is ‘pushed’ one day because the light of Binah<\/a> that is available for us on Shabbat brings life force to the world. Fasting creates a force that goes against the force of Creation that establishes a rule of rest on Shabbat in order to receive light.  For that reason we can not dishonor the Shabbat with mourning and fast.<\/p>\n

On the 10th of Av, the temple was still burning. Losing the connection to the life force that nourished the world through the Holy Temple should be painful for all of us, then and now.<\/p>\n

Knowing that God never forgot about us and that he’s always with us is comforting and give us hopes for a better future. B”H we all see this day soon.<\/p>\n

Leviticus 26:45<\/a><\/p>\n

“וְזָכַרְתִּי לָהֶם, בְּרִית רִאשֹׁנִים:  אֲשֶׁר הוֹצֵאתִי-אֹתָם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לְעֵינֵי הַגּוֹיִם, לִהְיוֹת לָהֶם לֵאלֹהִים–אֲנִי יְהוָה”<\/p>\n

“But I will for their sakes remember<\/strong> the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am YHVH<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The covenant and God’s promises are in the Torah. Use the Zohar to study the Torah and you will be remembered.<\/p>\n
