16. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן פָּתַח, (ישעיה כד) מִכְּנַף הָאָרֶץ זְמִרֹת שָׁמַעְנוּ צְבִי לַצַּדִּיק וְגוֹ’. אוֹי לָהֶם לִבְנֵי אָדָם, לְאוֹתָם שֶׁלֹּא מַשְׁגִּיחִים וְלֹא מִשְׁתַּדְּלִים בִּכְבוֹד רִבּוֹנָם וְלֹא מִסְתַּכְּלִים בַּקְּדֻשָּׁה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה לְהִתְקַדֵּשׁ בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה, לִהְיוֹת קְדוֹשִׁים בָּעוֹלָם הַבָּא. מִכְּנַף הָאָרֶץ – זוֹ כְּסוּת עֶלְיוֹנָה קְדוֹשָׁה. זְמִרֹת שָׁמַעְנוּ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (איוב לה) נֹתֵן זְמִרוֹת בַּלָּיְלָה. זְמִרוֹת, תִּשְׁבָּחוֹת שֶׁל כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בַּלַּיְלָה. בַּלָּיְלָה, בִּזְמַן שֶׁהִיא הִזְדַּמְּנָה (שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא) (מִזְדַּוֶּגֶת וּמְצוּיָה) וּמְצוּיָה לְשַׁבֵּחַ אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, וּמִשְׁתַּעֲשֵׁעַ עִם הַצַּדִּיקִים בְּגַן עֵדֶן.<\/div>\n

Rabbi Shimon tells us that woe to those who are not watching and making efforts to honor their Creator. When they look at the upper holiness they sanctify themselves in this world and the world to come.
\nThe study of the upper holiness is the study of the secrets of the Torah that are revealed in the Zohar. When we study them day and night we create unification of Light and the Shechina. After midnight the Holy One Blessed be He comes to the Garden of Eden to connect with the Tzadikim in the heavens. This is the time that is best to wake up and study Torah and Zohar, connecting us to the Light revealed in the Garden of Eden and holiness.<\/p>\n
