Zohar Ha’azinu<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the process of Creation the world of Atzilut<\/a> (world of Emanation<\/a>) the Endless Light performed the first Tzimtzum by restricting its Endless Light and creating an empty space (Darkness, בורא חושך). The Tzimtzum left an impression in the empty space that is called ‘Adam Kadmon’ (AK). This impression is like the blueprint of the four worlds that followed. Adam Kadmon is like the Endless for the world of Atzilut<\/a> that is below him.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Zohar uses the term עתיקא דכל עתיקין, “Ancient of all ancient” and refers to the first step that was ‘copied’ from the Endless to Adam Kadmon. The root word for ‘Ancient’, ‘עתיק’ is עתק, which means ‘copy’ or the action of copying. This step of Creation is the beginning ‘head’ that is concealed and not known, like a seed of a tree that is transformed into a tree. This ‘DNA’ of the seed can be found present in all parts of the tree. We can see the outcome but not the seed. <\/span><\/p>\n

Keter<\/a> is called Atika Kadisha<\/a>, “Holy Ancient” and was ‘copied’ from AK.<\/span><\/p>\n
