Colors represent vibrations of light. The Light from the upper three sefirots comes to this world and manifests through the ‘reactions’ of atomic particles in the sun (it’s not a real matter). The sun is the aspect of Zeir Anpin<\/a> and serves as a bridge between Binah<\/a>, the ‘Life Force,’ and Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

White is the aspect of the Endless and is the ‘canvas’ of this world. All colors\/vibrations of light exist in the white. The seven colors of the rainbow represent the ‘white’ light from the upper three sefirot, expressed in the vibrations of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet respectively.<\/p>\n

The seven sefirot take the vibration of Light according to their vessel. Chessed<\/a> takes white because it receives directly from Binah<\/a>, while Gevurah<\/a> expresses the desire to receive with the red color. And so on with the remaining sefirots.<\/p>\n

Since the sun ‘produces’ the colors, it is good to connect here to a bit of scientific information. I can’t use the word facts because science is still in the process of exploration and has not yet formulated into its work the spiritual aspects of our existence. It’s like they deal with the body of a person without taking into account the psyche even though they do accept the placebo effect. Kabbalah contributes to science by revealing the true forces that drive every particle (the basic unit of energy) in existence.<\/p>\n

The sun is not a simple star. It’s described as: “The Sun generates its energy by nuclear fusion of four hydrogen (atomic number 1) nuclei into helium (atomic number 2 and mass of 4). In its core, the Sun fuses 620 million metric tons of hydrogen each second.”<\/p>\n

620 happens to be the numerical value of Keter<\/a>. Also, the surface temperature of the sun is 5778 K. This number has a deeper significance beyond the actual digits when correlated to the Hebrew calendar year which happens to be next. I recommend doing a search for the number 5778 on KabbalahSecrets.com.<\/p>\n

The surface temperature of the Earth is 288 רפ”ח, which is the exact number of sparks of light we need to correct before the coming of Mashiach. He will bring the last 32 holy sparks to complete the system of 320 pure, holy sparks that will remove negativity and death forever.<\/p>\n

How does the sun go into all this nuclear fusion without consuming itself, while keeping the same surface temperature? And where does the hydrogen come from?<\/p>\n

The answer is Binah<\/a>. Hydrogen is the first element on the Periodic Table while helium is the second one: the Alef and Bet of Creation. This is the reason that every morning we pray to connect to the energy revealed through the sun. We start the morning prayer when the sky changes color from black to blue. And the best time for the silent prayer of Amidah, which elevates us to the world of Atziluth (Emanation<\/a>), is when the first rays of the sun emerge from the horizon. In Hebrew, this time is called ‘Netz’ נץ החמה.<\/p>\n

It’s a beautiful sight to see hundreds of people rise at the exact time every day in order to make this prayer in unity at the Western Wall.<\/p>\n
