35. שְׁנַיִם הֵם הָיוּ שֶׁאָמְרוּ קוּמָה ה’ – מֹשֶׁה וְדָוִד. מֹשֶׁה אָמַר, (במדבר י) קוּמָה ה’ וְיָפֻצוּ אֹיְבֶיךָ. וְדָוִד אָמַר (תהלים קלב) קוּמָה ה’ לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ. מָה הַהֶבְדֵּל בֵּינֵיהֶם? אֶלָּא מֹשֶׁה, כְּמוֹ מִי שֶׁמְּצַוֶּה אֶת בֵּיתוֹ הוּא אָמַר. מֹשֶׁה צִוָּה אוֹתָהּ לְהִלָּחֵם קְרָב כְּנֶגֶד שׂוֹנְאָיו, וְדָוִד הִזְמִין אוֹתָהּ לִמְנוּחָה. כְּמוֹ שֶׁמַּזְמִין [לוֹ] אֶת רַבּוֹ, מַזְמִין אֶת הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַגְּבִירָה עִמּוֹ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב קוּמָה ה’ לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ, כְּדֵי שֶׁלֹּא לְהַפְרִידָם.
\n36. כֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ צֶדֶק וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ. מִכָּאן לָמַדְנוּ, שֶׁמִּי שֶׁמַּזְמִין אֶת הַמֶּלֶךְ, יְשַׁנֶּה אֶת מַעֲשָׂיו כְּדֵי לָתֵת שִׂמְחָה לַמֶּלֶךְ. אִם דֶּרֶךְ הַמֶּלֶךְ שֶׁמְּשַׂמְּחִים אוֹתוֹ בַּדְּחָנִים פְּשׁוּטִים – יְסַדֵּר לְפָנָיו בַּדְּחָנִים נִכְבָּדִים וְשָׂרִים גְּדוֹלִים, וְאִם לֹא – זוֹ לֹא [מִשּׁוּם] שִׂמְחַת הַמֶּלֶךְ.
\n37. בֹּא רְאֵה, דָּוִד הִזְמִין אֶת הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַגְּבִירָה לִמְנוּחָה, מֶה עָשָׂה? שִׁנָּה אֶת בַּדְּחָנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ בִּשְׁבִיל שָׂרִים וְנִכְבָּדִים, וּמִי הֵם? שֶׁכָּתוּב כֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ צֶדֶק וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ. וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ? הָיָה צָרִיךְ לִהְיוֹת לְוִיֶּיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ! שֶׁהֲרֵי הַלְוִיִּים הֵם בַּדְּחָנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ, וְכָעֵת דָּוִד שֶׁהִזְמִין אוֹתוֹ לִמְנוּחָה, עָשָׂה אֶת הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַחֲסִידִים שֶׁיִּהְיוּ הֵם בַּדְּחָנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Vayetze<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Zohar teaches us about two places where YHVH<\/a> was asked to ‘rise up’. One time by Moses and once by King David.<\/p>\n

Numbers 10:35<\/a>
\n“וַיְהִי בִּנְסֹעַ הָאָרֹן, וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה: קוּמָה יְהוָה, וְיָפֻצוּ אֹיְבֶיךָ, וְיָנֻסוּ מְשַׂנְאֶיךָ, מִפָּנֶיךָ.”
\n“And whenever the ark set out, Moses said, ‘Rise up, O YHVH<\/a>! And let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You.”<\/p>\n

Psalms 132:8<\/a>
\n“קוּמָה יְהוָה, לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ: אַתָּה, וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ”
\n“Arise, O YHVH<\/a>, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength.”<\/p>\n

The Zohar explains that Moses was a Chariot<\/a> for Zeir Anpin<\/a> and was the ‘husband’ of the Shechina. He was on a higher level and was able to command God to remove those who hate him.
\nKing David ‘invited’ YHVH<\/a> to a state of rest like a person inviting his master to his home. When he said ‘You and the Ark’, King David meant the Light and the Vessel, Zeir Anpin<\/a> and the Shechina.<\/p>\n

Moses’s command came when the Ark was moving\/ We use this exact verse when we take the Torah out of the Ark for reading. The purpose of the Torah reading is to connect us to Zeir Anpin<\/a> to draw the higher level Light to Malchut<\/a> and remove negativity from us and our environment.<\/p>\n

King David is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> and he could only invite the Holy Ark to ‘rest’ with him. The ‘rest’ is what we ask many time on Shabbat.<\/p>\n

When the Holy Ark in the wilderness or the Torah in our time, going back to their place Moses said “return YHVH<\/a>…’.
\nNumber 10:36<\/a>
\n“וּבְנֻחֹה, יֹאמַר: שׁוּבָה יְהוָה, רִבְבוֹת אַלְפֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל”
\n“When it came to rest, he said, “Return, O
\nYHVH<\/a>, To the myriad thousands of Israel<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

After removing the enemies the Ark\/Torah are brought back to their place.<\/p>\n
