43. שָׁנִינוּ, (בראשית א) וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָאוֹר יוֹם וְלַחֹשֶׁךְ קָרָא לָיְלָה. וְשָׁם אָמַר וְחֹשֶׁךְ עַל פְּנֵי תְהוֹם. וְקָשֶׁה שֶׁלּוֹ עַל שֶׁלּוֹ. בָּא רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר לְרַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אָבִיו וְאָמַר לוֹ, אָבִי מוֹרִי, מַה זֶּה? אָמַר לוֹ, מִבְּרֵאשִׁית עַד ו’ דּוֹרוֹת בָּרָא ידו”ד אֶחָד, רוֹצֶה לוֹמַר, ו’ שֶׁל שְׁמוֹ נָתַן בּוֹ רוּחַ חָכְמָה. עַד כָּאן לֹא הָיָה יוֹדֵעַ מַהוּ חֹשֶׁךְ. קָם רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר וְנָשַׁק יָדוֹ שֶׁל אָבִיו.
\n44. קָם רַבִּי אַבָּא וְשָׁאַל, מַה זֶּה חֹשֶׁךְ? סָבְבוּ הַחֲבֵרִים וְלֹא הִגִּיעוּ לְמַה שֶּׁשָּׁאַל. עָשׂוּ מַעֲשֶׂה, וְהִגִּיעַ קוֹל מִלִּפְנֵי רִבּוֹן הָעוֹלָם בְּפָסוּק זֶה, (איוב י) אֶרֶץ עֵפָתָה וְגוֹ’, צַלְמָוֶת וְלֹא סְדָרִים וַתֹּפַע כְּמוֹ אֹפֶל. גֵּיהִנֹּם מִלִּפְנֵי שֶׁנִּבְרָא הָעוֹלָם הָיָה גָנוּז לָרְשָׁעִים. אוֹי לָרְשָׁעִים שֶׁיִּהְיוּ כְּשֶׁיַּעֲשֶׂה הָאֱלוֹהַּ אֶת אֵלֶּה, (ישעיה ס) כִּי הִנֵּה הַחֹשֶׁךְ יְכַסֶּה אֶרֶץ וַעֲרָפֶל לְאֻמִּים וְעָלַיִךְ יִזְרַח ה’ וּכְבוֹדוֹ עָלַיִךְ יֵרָאֶה. אַשְׁרֵי חֶלְקָם שֶׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לֹא בָרָא לָהֶם זֶה. \nZohar Vayechi<\/strong>
\nGenesis 1:5<\/a>
\n“ וַיִּקְרָא אֱלֹהִים לָאוֹר יוֹם, וְלַחֹשֶׁךְ קָרָא לָיְלָה”
\n“And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. ”
\nThe empty vessel, which is a female aspect without light is called darkness.
\nZeir Anpin<\/a> receives the Light of Chokmah<\/a> from Binah<\/a> and didn’t experience a state of darkness. Below Zer Anpin of the world of Atzilut<\/a>, there’s a darkness and Klipa<\/a> that is the aspect of (Genesis 1:2<\/a>) “and darkness was upon the face of the deep”.
\nThere’s an aspect of darkness that is (Job 10:22<\/a>) “a land of the shadow of death” that is the aspect of ‘Hell’ that was created before the world were created.
\nWhen the Light of the Final Redemption appears in the world, the Israelites<\/a> with the merit will enjoy the glory of God while the others will stay in darkness.
