66. כָּתוּב (ישעיה כו) ה’ בַּצַּר פְּקָדוּךָ צָקוּן לַחַשׁ וְגוֹ’. בַּצַּר פְּקָדוּךָ – לֹא פוֹקְדִים יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בִּשְׁעַת מְנוּחָה, אֶלָּא בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁמְּצִיקִים לָהֶם, וְאָז כֻּלָּם פּוֹקְדִים אוֹתוֹ. צָקוּן לַחַשׁ – וְכֻלָּם מִתְפַּלְלִים בִּתְפִלּוֹת וּבְבַקָּשׁוֹת, וּמְרִיקִים לְפָנָיו תְּפִלּוֹת. אֵימָתַי? מוּסָרְךָ לָמוֹ. בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁפּוֹקֵד הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בִּרְצוּעָתוֹ, וְאָז הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עוֹמֵד עֲלֵיהֶם בְּרַחֲמִים, וְאוֹתוֹ הַקּוֹל שֶׁלָּהֶם נוֹחַ לְפָנָיו כְּדֵי לְהִפָּרַע מִשּׂוֹנְאֵיהֶם, וּמִתְמַלֵּא עֲלֵיהֶם בְּרַחֲמִים.

\n“וּפַרְעֹה, הִקְרִיב; וַיִּשְׂאוּ בְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-עֵינֵיהֶם וְהִנֵּה מִצְרַיִם נֹסֵעַ אַחֲרֵיהֶם, וַיִּירְאוּ מְאֹד, וַיִּצְעֲקוּ בְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל, אֶל-יְהוָה”
\n“As Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel<\/a> looked, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel<\/a> cried out to the LORD.”
\nThe word ‘הקריב’ has few meanings. The one that fit the context of the verse describes Pharaoh’s actions that brought all his armies closer to fight the Israelites<\/a>. The Zohar adds that the word ‘הקריב’,’drew near’ is written in a form that implies that Pharaoh’s actions caused the Israelites<\/a> to come near to the YHVH<\/a>. They feared the Egyptian armies coming closer behind them.
\nIsaiah 26:16<\/a>
\n“ יְהוָה, בַּצַּר פְּקָדוּךָ; צָקוּן לַחַשׁ, מוּסָרְךָ לָמוֹ”
\n“O YHVH<\/a>, they sought You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer, Your chastening was upon them.”
\nWhen the Israelites<\/a> are far from YHVH<\/a>, he allows their enemies to inflict hardship on them. Then in distress they beg and pray for his salvation. He then comes with love and compassion to protect them and rid of their enemies.
\nThe Light of the Endless is always with us and it’s up to us to stay close, connect and with complete faith<\/a> draw protection from him so we won’t get in ‘trouble’. As we will learn in the next study, YHVH<\/a> is the one that fight for us.
