68. וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל הָעָם אַל תִּירָאוּ הִתְיַצְּבוּ וּרְאוּ אֶת יְשׁוּעַת ה’. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, אַשְׁרֵי חֶלְקָם שֶׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁהֲרֵי רוֹעֶה כְּמוֹ מֹשֶׁה הָלַךְ בְּתוֹכָם. כָּתוּב (שם סג) וַיִּזְכֹּר יְמֵי עוֹלָם מֹשֶׁה עַמּוֹ. וַיִּזְכֹּר יְמֵי עוֹלָם – זֶה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. מֹשֶׁה עַמּוֹ – [מִכָּאן לָמַדְנוּ] שֶׁמֹּשֶׁה הָיָה שָׁקוּל כְּכָל יִשְׂרָאֵל. וְלָמַדְנוּ מִזֶּה כִּי רוֹעֵה הָעָם הוּא מַמָּשׁ הָעָם כֻּלּוֹ. אִם הוּא זוֹכֶה – כָּל הָעָם זוֹכִים, וְאִם אֵינוֹ זוֹכֶה – כָּל הָעָם לֹא זוֹכִים וְנֶעֱנָשִׁים בִּגְלָלוֹ, וַהֲרֵי פֵּרְשׁוּהָ.
\n69. הִתְיַצְּבוּ וּרְאוּ – אֵין לָכֶם לַעֲרֹךְ קְרָב, שֶׁהֲרֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא יַעֲרֹךְ קְרָב בִּשְׁבִילְכֶם, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר ה’ יִלָּחֵם לָכֶם וְאַתֶּם תַּחֲרִישׁוּן. בֹּא רְאֵה, בְּאוֹתוֹ לַיְלָה כִּנֵּס הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אֶת הַפָּמַלְיָא שֶׁלּוֹ וְדָן אֶת דִּינֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְאִלְמָלֵא שֶׁהִקְדִּימוּ הָאָבוֹת עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל, לֹא הָיוּ נִצּוֹלִים מִן הַדִּין. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אָמַר, זְכוּת יַעֲקֹב הֵגֵנָּה עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל, זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים קכד) לוּלֵי ה’ שֶׁהָיָה לָנוּ יֹאמַר נָא יִשְׂרָאֵל, יִשְׂרָאֵל סָבָא.<\/div>\n

\nThe Israelites<\/a> were in front of the sea and the Egyptian armies behind them. They cried to Moses in fear and he calmed them with these words.
\nExodus 14:13<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל-הָעָם, אַל-תִּירָאוּ–הִתְיַצְּבוּ וּרְאוּ אֶת-יְשׁוּעַת יְהוָה, אֲשֶׁר-יַעֲשֶׂה לָכֶם הַיּוֹם: כִּי, אֲשֶׁר רְאִיתֶם אֶת-מִצְרַיִם הַיּוֹם–לֹא תֹסִפוּ לִרְאֹתָם עוֹד, עַד-עוֹלָם”
\n“But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of YHVH<\/a> which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever.”
\nHe tells them to ‘stand and see’, not asking for any action from their side. He continues to say;
\nExodus 14:14<\/a>
\n“יְהוָה, יִלָּחֵם לָכֶם; וְאַתֶּם, תַּחֲרִשׁוּן”
\n“”YHVH<\/a> will fight for you while you keep silent.””
\nThis is a very powerful statement and a great learning from us. After ‘stand and see’ he tells them to be totally silent. It’s like Moses is telling them to stay away and not interfere with the war that God is fighting for them.
\nThe Israelites<\/a> were complainers and if they were to speak out worries and complains they could’ve broken the high connection that Moses made with God to bring about the miracles on the sea.
\nHaving an unshakable faith<\/a> in God is the aspect of connecting to Keter<\/a>, which is the root of everything. Our prayers then could have stronger link to the source that can bring us all that is good and miracles. Having faith<\/a> that comes after seeing miracles is on a lower level because it comes from ‘knowledge’ (Da’at).
\nRabbi Shimon says, how good for the Israelites<\/a> to have a shepherd like Moses among them. He quotes Isaiah 63:11<\/a>
\n“וַיִּזְכֹּר יְמֵי-עוֹלָם, מֹשֶׁה עַמּוֹ; אַיֵּה הַמַּעֲלֵם מִיָּם, אֵת רֹעֵי צֹאנוֹ–אַיֵּה הַשָּׂם בְּקִרְבּוֹ, אֶת-רוּחַ קָדְשׁוֹ”
\n“Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses. Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,”
\nMoses had the weight of all the Israelites<\/a> and by his merit, all of them benefited. If he didn’t have merits then all of them would have been punished.
\nThe Zohar reveals that on the night of the fight by the sea, God assembled the upper court to pass judgment on the Israelites<\/a> and because the patriarchs prayed for them, they were saved from the possible judgment..
\nPsalms 124:1<\/a>
\n“לוּלֵי יְהוָה, שֶׁהָיָה לָנוּ– יֹאמַר-נָא, יִשְׂרָאֵל”
\n“”Had it not been YHVH<\/a> who was on our side,” Let Israel<\/a> now say,”
\nIsrael<\/a> is Jacob. The patriarchs and the great Tzadikim pray for us and use their merits to protect us from the negativity of the world.
\nOur prayers that always include the patriarchs, and our connection to Tzadikim help us greatly in carrying our prayers to where it can be heard and answered.
\nThe study method of the Daily Zohar is a special formula for high level connection. The Zohar text connects us to Rabbi Shimon, Moses, Elijah, Rabbi Elazar and the other righteous students of Rabbi Shimon. We bring the Zohar text as an image so the thousands of DZ readers could see the same image wherever they are in the world. On the spiritual level it creates a thread of unity among all DZ students and the Zohar at the level of Chokmah<\/a>. The Zohar text is like candle flames above our heads. It shines on every person who sees the image, scan it and ‘file’ it in his mind. The reading and or listening to the Zohar text adds another spiritual dimension of Binah<\/a>.
\nThe DZ studies quote the Torah and Bible verses that the Zohar uses to reveal the light in its text. It is very important to connect to the roots (verses) during the study because they are like ‘wells’ of light that the Zohar uses to draw light from by revealing the secrets behind them.
\nShare the DZ studies to add more bright candles in the world. It’s good for us on the personal level and for the entire world.
