61. אֱלֹהִים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ נוֹדַע לְמִשְׂגָּב וְגוֹ’ – אֵלּוּ הֵם נֵצַ”ח וְהוֹ”ד, שֶׁשָּׁם הִתְכַּנְּסוּת שֶׁל כָּל הַבְּרָכוֹת, הִתְכַּנְּסוּת שֶׁל שִׂמְחָה. מִשָּׁם יוֹצֵאת עַל יְדֵי הַדַּרְגָּה הַזּוֹ שֶׁנִּקְרֵאת צַדִּיק, וְשָׁם הִתְכַּנְּסוּ הַבְּרָכוֹת לְבַשֵּׂם אֶת הָעִיר הַקְּדוֹשָׁה וּלְהִתְבָּרֵךְ מִשָּׁם. כִּי הִנֵּה הַמְּלָכִים נוֹעֲדוּ – אֵלּוּ כָּל כִּתְרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ בִּכְלָל אֶחָד, וּלְמָקוֹם אַחֵר הַדְּבָרִים הַלָּלוּ עוֹלִים.

\nPsalms 48:4<\/a>,5
\n“אֱלֹהִים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ, נוֹדַע לְמִשְׂגָּב”
\n“כִּי-הִנֵּה הַמְּלָכִים, נוֹעֲדוּ; עָבְרוּ יַחְדָּו”
\n“God, in her palaces, Has made Himself known as a stronghold.”
\n“For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, They passed by together.”
\nThe ‘Kings’ is the aspect of the Sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a>, who is the ‘King’ of kings. The blessings from the upper Sefirot gather in Netzach<\/a> and Hod<\/a>, which is the aspect ‘Palaces’. The blessings come out to our world, Malchut<\/a> through the ‘Tzadik’, which is the sefira of Yessod<\/a>.
\nA person that brings a sacrifice creates unification with Yessod<\/a> and able to receive the blessings.
\nThe sages of the Talmud teach us;

\n“The Torah sustains only a person that kill himself on it” (Berachot 63:)
\nThis study in the Talmud came from the statement in Numbers 19:14<\/a>
\n“ זֹאת, הַתּוֹרָה, אָדָם, כִּי-יָמוּת בְּאֹהֶל” “This is the Torah: when a man dies in a tent,”
\nIn simple words, here we learn that the light of the Torah can not be channeled through a person who doesn’t kill his desires for the self alone.
\nOur souls were created as vessels for the light with the desire for the self. God created us this way, so we can accept and enjoy his Light. This is our natural state and is embedded in our soul. The body is a vessel for the soul and is nourished by it. Without the soul, the body ceases to exist.
\n‘Killing’ the selfish desires breaks the barriers between us and the Light that sustains us and let it flow into our vessels and fulfill it.
\nDuring the first Holy Temple the people brought sacrifices and their prayers were personal. After the destruction the prophets with the greater assembly (כנסת הגדולה) prepared prayers for daily and different events, giving us connection tools while we are in spiritual exile, away from the Holy in Jerusalem<\/a>.
\nTo receive the great light from the Shema Israel<\/a> prayers we should meditate to accept upon us all four types of death when we say the word ‘Echad אחד’, ‘One’. Accepting death disconnects us from the element of time and limitation, fuse us as one with the light.
\nGiving money to support Torah scholars, channels of light is another important aspect of sacrifice because it is always hard to give from the money one earned. Our lives have temporary state of existence as with all material things. We can hold to it until we die. Understanding that everything is a gift from the Light and we are just temporary channels to process and transform energy in this world, makes it easy to share our energy. It is especially strong when we share our material energy every week. It helps to remove death aspect from our materials before Shabbat that brings us Light and fulfilment from Binah<\/a>.
