\n51. וַעֲלִיַּת הַמִּצְוָה שֶׁל עַם הָאָרֶץ מְכַבָּה לָהֶם אֶת הַמִּצְוָה, לְקַיֵּם בָּהֶם וּרְשָׁעִים בַּחֹשֶׁךְ יִדָּמוּ. אֲבָל לְבַעֲלֵי תוֹרָה אֵין לָהּ כְּבִיָּה עוֹלָמִית בָּהֶם, שֶׁמְּאִירִים לָהּ בְּכַמָּה סוֹדוֹת שֶׁל הַתּוֹרָה, שֶׁאוֹר נִקְרָא רָ”ז. וּמִצְווֹת הַתּוֹרָה שֶׁמְּקַיְּמִים אוֹתָן חֲכָמִים, זוֹ תוֹרָה לְגַבֵּיהֶם, לַיְלָה וְיוֹמָם לֹא תִכְבֶּה עֲלֵיהֶם, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁמְּקַיְּמִים בָּהּ וְהָגִיתָ בּוֹ יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה.<\/div>\n

\nLeviticus 6:6<\/a>
\n“אֵשׁ, תָּמִיד תּוּקַד עַל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ–לֹא תִכְבֶּה”
\n“Fire shall be kept burning upon the altar continually, it shall not go out”
\nThe Torah instructs Aaron and the priests<\/a> to keep a continuous fire on the altar. In the Holy Tabernacle and later in the Holy Temple, the connection and opening to the upper levels were intended to be available immediately when offerings brought on the altar.
\nThe altar is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> and the fire is the process of spiritual connection. The Zohar explains that the Torah is the fire that we should keep burning inside of us. When we follow the Torah and make a precept we light a candle in us with the light of the Shechinah. An action against the ways of the Torah, turns off a candle that is immediately replaced with darkness.

\nThe Zohar adds that those who study the deeper levels of Torah, which is the study of Zohar and Kabbalah, receive light that comes out from the secrets of the Torah. The word for light ‘אור’ has the numerical value (207) of the word ‘secret’, ‘רז’. When we study the secrets of the Torah from the Zohar, we light many candles in our souls and enjoy the greater presence of the Shechina in our lives.
\nAs long as we don’t lose it, we can grow our inner light to levels that help us remove darkness from all corners of our souls. In time we can achieve greater ability to see YHVH<\/a> in everything around us.
\nThe Daily Zohar is the aspect of the continuous fire on the altar. With the daily study of the Zohar we light more candles in our souls. The DZ study brings in full the Torah and Bible verses that the Zohar discuss. It helps us connect to the roots in the Torah from where the Zohar reveal the secrets.
