\nThe burning of the Ketoret<\/a> was done by the high priest. It tells us that this process had major significance in the services done in the Holy Temple. The Ketoret<\/a> is a tool that can supports our connection significantly. The story of the Ketoret<\/a> from the Torah and the Talmud is included in our daily prayers. We recite it twice in the morning and once in the afternoon. It’s so powerful that Kabbalists recommend reading it from a parchment written by a scribe like the way the Torah is written. It gives greater protection and sustenance.
\nIt’s not enough to burn incense with nice scent at home to make spiritual connection. Incense with pure ingredients can be ‘attached’ to our prayers and meditations to create a better atmosphere for spiritual elevation. The teaching of kabbalah instructs us to have the proper consciousness and prayers to achieve spiritual elevation and connection in order to benefit from it.
\nSpiritual tools of material nature are just to support our connections. It’s not automatic. The Lulav is a powerful tool when used during the holiday of Sukkot. Without the prayers and proper meditation and shaking of the Lulav, it won’t be activated to deliver the great light available to us on Sukkot. The same principal is shared with other tools.
\nOur goal in every spiritual connection is to become better and purer person. For some it’s easy and for many it’s hard but the goal is the same. The only reward that one should seek from studying Kabbalah is immortality. This could be fulfilled in this life if we merit to see Mashiach or after the Resurrection.
\nTo make money and have comfortable life find a teacher that could enhance your professional skills and help you sell yourself for a better pay.
\nA teacher of kabbalah must focus his teaching on the soul of the person and help him achieve pure connections. God provides sustenance for every creature in the world and he will definitely sustained those who are close to him.
\nPsalms 145:18<\/a>
\n“קָרוֹב יְהוָה, לְכָל-קֹרְאָיו– לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת”
\n“YHVH<\/a> is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth”
\nThe Zohar describes the people who pray to God asking to fulfill their selfish desires as barking dogs, looking for food from their owner. Only when a person prays with truth that is also the aspect of the central column, he merits the sustenance he deserves. It’s not always a lot but this is exactly what we need and should be happy with.
