42. רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר הָיָה יוֹשֵׁב בַּהֵיכָל שֶׁל בֵּית חָמִיו, וְהוּא הָיָה אוֹמֵר, לִזְלִיגַת הַדְּמָעוֹת שֶׁבַּהֵיכָל יֵשׁ עֵצָה לִמְצֹא. בֵּין כָּךְ עָבַר אִישׁ אֶחָד פָּגוּם בְּעַיִן אַחַת. אָמַר חָמִיו, נִשְׁאַל אֶת זֶה. אָמַר, הוּא פָּגוּם וְלֹא נֶאֱמָן. אָמַר, נִשְׁאַל אוֹתוֹ. בָּאוּ וְשָׁאֲלוּ אוֹתוֹ. אָמַר לוֹ, מִיהוּ הַמְאֻשָּׁר שֶׁבָּעוֹלָם? אָמַר, הֶעָשִׁיר, אֲבָל אִם יִנָּתֵק, עִמּוֹ אֲנִי מִכֻּלָּם. \n43. פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (ישעיה ח) לְתוֹרָה וְלִתְעוּדָה אִם לֹא יֹאמְרוּ כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה. לְתוֹרָה וְלִתְעוּדָה, מִי הִיא תּוֹרָה, וּמִי הִיא תְּעוּדָה? אֶלָּא תּוֹרָה – זוֹ תּוֹרָה שֶׁבִּכְתָב. תְּעוּדָה – זוֹ תּוֹרָה שֶׁבְּעַל פֶּה. תּוֹרָה שֶׁבְּעַל פֶּה אֵינָהּ שׁוֹרָה בְמָקוֹם פָּגוּם, שֶׁהֲרֵי מִתּוֹרָה שֶׁבִּכְתָב נִבְנֵית. כָּתוּב צוֹר תְּעוּדָה חֲתוֹם תּוֹרָה בְּלִמֻּדָי. צוֹר תְּעוּדָה – זוֹ תּוֹרָה שֶׁבְּעַל פֶּה, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁשָּׁם נִצְרָר צְרוֹר הַחַיִּים, וּבִתְעוּדָה נִקְשָׁר קֶשֶׁר הַחַיִּים (קֶשֶׁר הָאֱמוּנָה) שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה, לִהְיוֹת הַכֹּל אֶחָד.\n<\/div>\n

\nRabbi Elazar was in the house of his father in law. There were leaks from the roof and the father in law wanted to seek advice about it. He wanted to ask a person that was passing by but Rabbi Elazar said that this person has a defect in one eye and won’t be good for advice. They decided to ask that person a question to test his ‘connection’ and ability to advice.
\nThey asked him “Who is the happiest person in the world” and he replied immediately, “A rich person and if he loses connection to his money, meaning losing his wealth, he is the most miserable person in the world and I worry about him the most.”. According to this person, if losing the money is so terrible for a rich person then having it is most important.
\nRabbi Elazar said that the person has no faith<\/a> and his advice cannot be trusted because he cannot consider a Tzadik to be the happiest person in the world.
\nWe learn here that a connection to the material world doesn’t bring happiness, which is light to the person. If a rich person loses his wealth he falls into darkness and despair because he doesn’t have light to fill the lack. For a Tzadik, money is just a tool to do positive work in this world. Having more or less of it would only change his actions. With money he would do more Tzedakah and support channels of Light and without money he would study and share more. A tzadik ‘product’ is the light he reveals. Whatever he does, would make him happy because he is always with the Light.
\nIsaiah 8:20<\/a>
\n“לְתוֹרָה וְלִתְעוּדָה אִם לֹא יֹאמְרוּ כַּדָּבָר הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר אֵין לוֹ שָׁחַר.”
\n“To the Torah and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because it (the word) has no light.”
\nIn this verse, the Torah is the aspect the written Torah<\/a> and the ‘testimony’ is the aspect of the oral Torah<\/a>, Zohar which is revealed in Malchut<\/a>. The Oral Torah<\/a> is not revealed in a flawed place because it comes from the written Torah<\/a>, which is Zeir Anpin<\/a> that is flawless. The ‘testimony’ is connected to the life-force that comes from Zeir Anpin<\/a>, the Torah, to make it one whole unit.
\nThe Zohar explains that with purity we connect better to Zeir Anpin<\/a> and draw to Malchut<\/a> and our vessels.
\nThe ‘testimony’ for us is the Zohar and the life-force that we should connect to it everyday. All of our actions should be done with positivity, avoiding conflicts and hurting other, even if we think they ‘deserve’ our judgment. Avoid listening to negative news. If it’s important, you will hear it from the people around you and or social networks. You don’t need to be the first one to deliver news, especially if they are negative.
\nThe world is in a difficult state with great risk of global chaos. It’s already happening in the background of things and I don’t want to expand my analysis in order to stay on a positive direction. In order to prepare for any situation, we need to be ready with our pure vessel and earn a ‘ticket’ to Noah’s Ark.
