\n69. שָׂמַח אוֹתוֹ תִּינוֹק, אָמַר, וַדַּאי שֶׁלֹּא רָאִיתִי, אֲבָל כָּתוּב (מלכים-א כ) אַל יִתְהַלֵּל חוֹגֵר כִּמְפַתֵּחַ. הַתְקִינוּ שֻׁלְחָן בְּלֶחֶם וּבְכָל מַה שֶּׁצָּרִיךְ. אָמַר רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר, כַּמָּה שִׂמְחָה יֵשׁ בְּלִבִּי בְּתִינוֹק זֶה, וְכַמָּה חִדּוּשִׁים יִתְחַדְּשׁוּ עַל שֻׁלְחָן זֶה, וְלָכֵן אָמַרְתִּי שֶׁיָּדַעְתִּי שֶׁזּוּג פַּעֲמוֹנֵי רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ הָיוּ הוֹלְכִים בָּהּ.\n<\/div>\n

\nZohar Balak<\/strong>
\nRabbi Aba and Rabbi Elazar prepared a table for a meal. The Yenuka asked them if they are ready to enjoy pleasures of food with or without a war. He told them that the table wouldn’t be elevated without a war.
\nThey replied that they wish and ready the war because they have experience in breaking the enemies so they won’t destroy earth.
\nWhat kind of war they were talking about?
\nThe body is part of the world of Malchut<\/a>. It is completely formed and sustained in this world and under the control of the Snake<\/a>. When we feed the body the Snake<\/a> comes to claim his part before the soul benefit from it. The greater the pleasure we take from food or any other physical activities, the greater the presence and influence of the negative side, govern by the Snake<\/a>. All physical pleasures put the soul at risk and we need to go to war to protect it.
\nThe blessings of food and Zohar study, which is the highest level of Torah study during the meal are the tools of war against the other-side<\/a> that their goal to take our soul energy and bend it to their will.
\nWith using the spiritual weapons, we guarantee that our souls are properly nourished through the energy of the food.
\nThe word for bread is ‘לחם’, which is also the root word for ‘war’. Bread can increase the desire for the self and increase our physical vessel\/body unless we ‘burn’ it.
\nThe bread turns to sugar in the body to feed the ‘hungry’ body cells. If we consume more than the body needs, it turns to stored energy that in most cases accumulated beyond the needs of the body. The Klipah<\/a> gets stronger when we have ‘extra’ food stored in the body and raise the desire to have more and feed it further. The physical pleasure grow stronger and negatively influence other aspects of life.
