(שָׁנָה רַבִּי אַבָּא,) כָּתוּב ((דברים י) רַק בַּאֲבֹתֶיךָ חָשַׁק ה’. מִכָּאן אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, הָאָבוֹת הֵם מֶרְכָּבָה קְדוֹשָׁה עֶלְיוֹנָה, וְכָתוּב חָשַׁק ה’. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁיֵּשׁ מֶרְכָּבָה קְדוֹשָׁה לְמַטָּה, כָּךְ יֵשׁ מֶרְכָּבָה קְדוֹשָׁה לְמַעְלָה. וּמַה הִיא? זֶה שֶׁאָמַרְנוּ, מֶרְכָּבָה קְדוֹשָׁה הַכֹּל נִקְרָא, וְהַכֹּל נִקְשָׁר זֶה בָּזֶה, וְנַעֲשֶׂה הַכֹּל אֶחָד.

\n“Yet on your fathers did YHVH<\/a> set His affection to love them, and He chose their descendants after them, even you above all peoples, as it is this day.”
\nRabbi Shimon teaches us that the patriarchs form the holy chariot<\/a>.
\nWhat is the ‘Holy Chariot<\/a>’ of YHVH<\/a>?<\/strong>
\nThe Light of the Endless channels its Light through the YHVH<\/a> name. In the world of free choice we need to ‘earn’ the Light and that means that we have to make connections and draw the Light. Genesis 3:19<\/a> “with the sweat of your face you shall eat bread…”
\nThe Light that is YHVH<\/a> with the Light of the Endless ‘desires’ to dwell among us in Malchut<\/a>. Without having proper vessels to ‘move’ the Light from above it cannot flow. The patriarchs created the needed vehicle\/chariot<\/a> for the Light. Abraham for Chessed<\/a>, Isaac for Gevurah<\/a>, and Jacob for Tiferet<\/a> made themselves channels for the upper Light, allowing it to flow down.
\nThe fourth element was still missing in order to activate the channels and ‘drive’ the Light down. This was achieved by King David. He was a humble king, a warrior of Light. He earned the merits to build the Holy Temple through his son Solomon, to draw, manifest and share the Light for the entire world.
