Pinchas, as the Zohar tells us, never died. He also never sinned and when he left the world as Elijah, it happened with his physical body. He was 100% pure and holy and ascended up with fire so no negative elements could touch him in the ascension process.<br>\nIt was similar to the way the souls of <a class=\"glossaryLink\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"&lt;div class=glossaryItemTitle&gt;Nadav and Avihu&lt;\/div&gt;&lt;div class=glossaryItemBody&gt;Nadav and Avihu were the sons of Aaron. Hashem took away their souls when they brought offerings into the Holy Tabernacle out of schedule, and other reasons. (Leviticus 10:1-10)The souls of Nadav and Avihu were souls of priests on the highest level. They were kept out of the correction process, waiting for Pinchas to receive them. As we learned previously, Pinchas stopped the death from spreading in the camp of Israel. After he killed Zimri and Kozbi which caused the situation, his soul left his body. Because of the way he went up, Elijah can move between the physical and spiritual worlds at will. We read from the Zohar that he came down to teach Rabbi Shimon many times.<br>\nThe soul of Rabbi Shimon was also pure and ascended to heaven surrounded with fire.<br>\nIn several places in the Bible we see the relations between Elijah and Pinchas.<br>\nOne major aspect is the &lsquo;jealousy&rsquo;
