\nThe third special thing to do on the dining table of Shabbat is to have three meals. The Shabbat prayer of the Amidah (Silent prayer) include seven blessings and the three meals complete the connection to ten.
\nGenesis 2:10<\/a>
\n“וְנָהָר יֹצֵא מֵעֵדֶן, לְהַשְׁקוֹת אֶת-הַגָּן;”
\nע<\/strong>דן<\/span> – is the source of Light from the upper three to the world.
\nנ<\/strong>הר<\/span> – is the flow of light to the ‘Garden’ below.
\nג<\/strong>ן<\/span> – Aspect of Malchut<\/a>
\nThe initials of the three words above spell ‘ענג<\/span>’, literally means ‘pleasure’. The Shabbat is the time for a true pleasure, which is connection to the Light in every way possible. The three meals with the blessings and study are important elevations. The sages tell us that having three meals on Shabbat protect us from the difficulties before the revelation of Mashiach, the judgments of hell and from the Final war of Gog UMagog.
\nRabbi Shimon said that those who complete three meals on Shabbat a voice comes out and announce on him;
\nIsaiah 58:14<\/a>
\n“אָז, תִּתְעַנַּג<\/strong><\/span> עַל-יְהוָה, וְהִרְכַּבְתִּיךָ, עַל-במותי (בָּמֳתֵי) אָרֶץ; וְהַאֲכַלְתִּיךָ, נַחֲלַת יַעֲקֹב אָבִיךָ–כִּי פִּי יְהוָה, דִּבֵּר”
\n“Then you will take delight (ענג<\/span>) in YHVH<\/a>, And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth; And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of YHVH<\/a> has spoken.”
\nThose with ability to do three meals and don’t do it, transform the ‘ענג<\/span>’,’Pleasure’ of Shabbat to negative ‘נגע<\/span>’,’hurt’\/’pain’.

\nThe fourth thing is to add more light on the table. Honoring the meal as if we have the king and queen around the table.
\nThe fifth is the Kiddush cup. The precept of doing Kiddush on Shabbat comes from the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:7<\/a>)
\n“זָכוֹר אֶת-יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת, לְקַדְּשׁ<\/strong><\/span>וֹ”
\n“”Remember the sabbath day, to sanctify it.”
\nThe Hebrew root for ‘Sanctify’, ‘קדש<\/span>’ is as Kiddush ‘קידוש<\/span>’.
\nWe start the blessing of the Kiddush with the paragraph from the Torah that sums up the story of Creation. It connects us to the first Shabbat and the Light of Binah<\/a>.
\nGenesis 2:1<\/a>
\n“וַיְכֻלּוּ <\/strong><\/span>הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ, וְכָל-צְבָאָם”
\n“Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.”
\nThe word for ‘cup’ is ‘כוס<\/span>’, numerically 86, same as ‘ELHYM’ ‘אלהים<\/span>’.
\nThe first word “וַיְכֻלּוּ<\/span>” is numerically 72 and Malchut<\/a> include the name ‘אלהים’ and the name of 72 יוד-הי-ויו-הי<\/span> for the light of Chokmah<\/a> that we have on Shabbat.
