79. רוֹעֶה הַנֶּאֱמָן, בְּפָרָשָׁה זוֹ נִזְכְּרָה הִתְכַּנְּסוּת שֶׁלְּךָ לְאוֹתוֹ הָעוֹלָם, שֶׁכָּתוּב (דברים לב) עֲלֵה אֶל הַר הָעֲבָרִים הַזֶּה הַר נְבוֹ וְגוֹ’. וְרָאִיתָ אוֹתָהּ וְנֶאֱסַפְתָּ אֶל עַמֶּךָ וְגוֹ’. כַּאֲשֶׁר נֶאֱסַף אַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וְגוֹ’ (שם). וּבְפָרָשָׁה זוֹ יֵשׁ לְךָ לַחֲזֹר לָעוֹלָם, וּלְהֵחָיוֹת, וּלְהִכָּנֵס לְאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל, וּלְהִתְחַבֵּר בְּפָרָשָׁה זוֹ בַּכַּלָּה שֶׁלְּךָ, שֶׁכָּתוּב בָּהּ (במדבר כה) הִנְנִי נֹתֵן לוֹ אֶת בְּרִיתִי שָׁלוֹם. וְלָכֵן לֹא אָמַר לְךָ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא כָּאן רֵד, אֶלָּא עֲלֵה. שֶׁמִּמֶּנּוּ אַתָּה תִּכָּנֵס לְאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל.

\nThe passing of Moses is in the portion of Haazinu. God instructs Moses to go up the mountain and die there.
\nDeuteronomy 32:49<\/a>
\n“עֲלֵה אֶל-הַר הָעֲבָרִים הַזֶּה הַר-נְבוֹ, אֲשֶׁר בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹאָב, אֲשֶׁר, עַל-פְּנֵי יְרֵחוֹ; וּרְאֵה אֶת-אֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן, אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי נֹתֵן לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַאֲחֻזָּה”
\n“Go up to this mountain of the Abarim, Mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho, and look at the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the sons of Israel<\/a> for a possession.”
\nGod tells Moses to see the land he is giving to the children of Israel<\/a> before God ‘gathers’ him as he did for Aaron his brother.
\nRabbi Shimon tells Moses that through this Torah portion he needs to come back to this world, live and enter the Land of Israel<\/a>.
\nWith this portion, Moses would unify with his bride, which is Malchut<\/a>, and the Holy Land of Israel<\/a>.
\nThe Land of Israel<\/a> is the covenant’s promise of peace that was in the hands of Moses but God gave it to Pinchas, who is Elijah the prophet, that would announce the coming of Mashiach and the process to establish the final and everlasting peace.
\nAt the time of the sin of the Golden Calf, God told Moses to go down because the nation sinned.
\nExodus 32:7<\/a> “And YHVH<\/a> said to Moses, “Go down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.”
\nBefore Moses died God told him to go up the mountain. The Zohar explains that this means that from this mountain he will enter the land of Israel<\/a>. Because Israel<\/a> is is on a high level going into the land is a process of elevation. God sent Moses up the mountain in preparation for entering Israel<\/a> for the final peace.

\nDeuteronomy 34:6<\/a>
\n“וַיִּקְבֹּר אֹתוֹ בַגַּי בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹאָב, מוּל בֵּית פְּעוֹר; וְלֹא-יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת-קְבֻרָתוֹ, עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה”
\n“And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-Peor; but no man knows his burial place to this day.”
\nRabbi Shimon says that woe to those with a closed heart and no understanding that don’t know your burial place and think that you begged God for mercy not to be buried and called ‘dead’. Those fools that think that you feared death and leaving this world, have no idea how was your burial and how was your death.
