52. וְאִם תֹּאמַר, הֲרֵי שָׁנִינוּ שֶׁאֵין חֶדְוָה לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא כְּשֶׁהוּא עוֹשֶׂה דִין בָּרְשָׁעִים? אֶלָּא בֹּא רְאֵה, בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁנַּעֲשֶׂה דִין בָּרְשָׁעִים, חֶדְווֹת וְתִשְׁבָּחוֹת לְפָנָיו עַל שֶׁנֶּאֶבְדוּ מֵהָעוֹלָם. וְהַדְּבָרִים הַלָּלוּ כְּשֶׁמַּגִּיעַ אוֹתוֹ זְמַן שֶׁהִמְתִּין לָהֶם וְלֹא שָׁבוּ אֵלָיו מֵחֲטָאֵיהֶם. אֲבָל אִם נַעֲשֶׂה בָהֶם דִּין עַד שֶׁלֹּא הִגִּיעַ זְמַנָּם, [וְעַד] שֶׁלֹּא נִשְׁלָם חֶטְאָם, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (בראשית טו) כִּי לֹא שָׁלֵם עֲוֹן הָאֱמוֹרִי עַד הֵנָּה, אָז אֵין חֶדְוָה לְפָנָיו, וְרַע לְפָנָיו עַל שֶׁנֶּאֶבְדוּ.

\n“וְדוֹר רְבִיעִי, יָשׁוּבוּ הֵנָּה: כִּי לֹא-שָׁלֵם עֲו‍ֹן הָאֱמֹרִי, עַד-הֵנָּה”
\n“Then in the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete.”
\nThe Zohar quotes this verse and explains that God waits for time to pass before judging the Amorite on their inequities.
\nAs we learned, the Holy One Blessed be He has no joy in punishing the wickeds and he gave them time to repent.

\nGod does punish the wickeds before their time if they come to harm the Israelites<\/a>. For that reason God sank the Egyptians in the sea and made miracles for King Jehoshaphat in his war against the kings of Moab and Edom. Jehoshaphat was righteous and ask the support of the prophet Elisha before going to the war.
\n2 Kings 3:24<\/a>
\n“וַיָּבֹאוּ, אֶל-מַחֲנֵה יִשְׂרָאֵל, וַיָּקֻמוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּכּוּ אֶת-מוֹאָב, וַיָּנֻסוּ מִפְּנֵיהֶם; ויבו- (וַיַּכּוּ-) בָהּ, וְהַכּוֹת אֶת-מוֹאָב”
\n“But when the Moabites arrived at the Israelite camp, the army of Israel<\/a> rushed out and attacked them until they turned and ran. The army of Israel<\/a> chased them into the land of Moab, destroying everything as they went.”
\nLesson:
\nAs Israelites<\/a> we can have God’s protection through our spiritual connections and mainly through the study of the Zohar, which is the ultimate tool to reveal light in our lives and the world.
