53. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (שמות כג) הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי שֹׁלֵחַ מַלְאָךְ לְפָנֶיךָ לִשְׁמָרְךָ וְגוֹ’. לֹא לְדַבֵּר כָּךְ, אֶלָּא בָּעוֹלָם הַבָּא, כְּמוֹ שֶׁפֵּרַשְׁנוּ בִּמְקוֹמוֹ וְהִיא הַשְּׁמִירָה בַּדֶּרֶךְ, אֲנִי הִשְׁרֵיתִי שְׁכִינָה בֵּינֵיכֶם לִשְׁמֹר אֶתְכֶם בַּגָּלוּת, וְהִיא שָׁמְרָה אֶתְכֶם עַד שֶׁתָּבִיא אֶתְכֶם לְאַרְצְכֶם כְּמוֹ שֶׁהֱיִיתֶם מִקֹּדֶם לָזֶה. אֲשֶׁר הֲכִנֹתִי – מוֹשָׁבוֹת מִקֹּדֶם לָזֶה.

\n“הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי שֹׁלֵחַ מַלְאָךְ, לְפָנֶיךָ, לִשְׁמָרְךָ, בַּדָּרֶךְ; וְלַהֲבִיאֲךָ, אֶל-הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר הֲכִנֹתִי”
\n“Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.”
\n‘to bring you into the place which I have prepared’ is the world to come that is the level of Binah<\/a>. The angel that ‘guard us along the way’ is the aspect of the Shechina that protects us until the time we finish the ‘way’ that is the individual and global Tikun process<\/a>.

\nThe Shechina acts in the world through the angel Metatron because she is not in her original place. When we are on the ‘way’, which is the process we go through while in exile, we have the support of the Shechina until she returns to her place, united with Zeir Anpin<\/a>.
\nDeuteronomy 3:11<\/a>
\n“כִּי רַק-עוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן, נִשְׁאַר מִיֶּתֶר הָרְפָאִים–הִנֵּה עַרְשׂוֹ עֶרֶשׂ בַּרְזֶל, הֲלֹה הִוא בְּרַבַּת בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן: תֵּשַׁע אַמּוֹת אָרְכָּהּ, וְאַרְבַּע אַמּוֹת רָחְבָּהּ–בְּאַמַּת-אִישׁ”

\nOg king of Bashan survived the Flood by hanging to the Ark. Noah gave him food because Og swore to be loyal slave to him and his family forever. He represents the Klipah<\/a> that opposes Metatron.

\nThe way\/exile to the Promised Land is full of hardship but when we connect to the Shechina for protection, we are able to complete the way and arrive safely to the Land God promised our fathers.
