58. שָׁנִינוּ, אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, פַּעַם אַחַת עָלִיתִי וְיָרַדְתִּי לְהָאִיר בְּמַבּוּעֵי הַנְּחָלִים, וְעָלָה אַחֲרַי רַבִּי אַבָּא. אָמַר לִי, בַּמָּה עֲסַקְתֶּם? אָמַרְתִּי לוֹ, בַּפָּסוּק הַזֶּה (קהלת א) שֶׁכָּל הַנְּחָלִים הוֹלְכִים אֶל הַיָּם וְהַיָּם אֵינֶנּוּ מָלֵא. מִזִּיווֹ נִבְרְאוּ כָּל הַגְּדוֹלִים שֶׁמִּן הָעוֹלָם, וּמִזִּיווֹ נוֹבְעִים כָּל הַנְּחָלִים, הַנְּחָלִים שֶׁהֵם בַּפָּסוּק הַזֶּה נְמוּכִים בַּגָּלוּת הַזֹּאת, שֶׁהֲרֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וַאֲפֵלָה, חִבַּת הָאֵם עָשָׂה לָהֶם, וְאִם לֹא, הַנַּחַל עוֹשֶׂה לְבִתּוֹ. גְּדֻלָּה שְׁנִיָּה הוּא, הוּא תַּחַת הַקָּדוֹשׁ שֶׁשּׁוֹכֵב עַל גַּנֵּי הַהֵיכָל, שֶׁהֲרֵי הַשַּׂר שֶׁל יִשְׂרָאֵל שֶׁהָיָה מְמֻנֶּה עֲלֵיהֶם, בְּכָל זְמַן שֶׁהָיְתָה הַגְּבִירָה עִם הַמֶּלֶךְ, הָיָה יוֹצֵא וּבָא לִפְנֵיהֶם מטטרו”ן, וְהוּא מַקְרִיב עֲבוֹדָתָם לְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא כְּאֵשׁ. כַּאֲשֶׁר הִתְבַּטְּלָה הָאֵשׁ וְגָלוּ, הִסְתַּלֵּק זִיוָהּ, וְהִסְתַּלְּקָה הַגְּבִירָה מִן הַמֶּלֶךְ. זֶה לֹא הָיָה שָׁלֵם עַד שֶׁיָּבֹא צַד אַחֵר שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה נִמְנֶה בַגָּלוּת.

\n“ כָּל-הַנְּחָלִים הֹלְכִים אֶל-הַיָּם, וְהַיָּם אֵינֶנּוּ מָלֵא; אֶל-מְקוֹם, שֶׁהַנְּחָלִים הֹלְכִים–שָׁם הֵם שָׁבִים, לָלָכֶת”
\n“All the rivers flow into the sea, Yet the sea is not full. To the place where the rivers flow, There they flow again.”
\nRabbi Shimon tells that one time he went up to the springs of the rivers and rabbi Aba followed him. This is a code that describes their studies as spiritual connections to Binah<\/a>, drawing water, which is Light from the springs, which is light of Binah<\/a> to the sea, which the world of Malchut<\/a>.
\nBecause Malchut<\/a> is a state of darkness and exile, the light from Binah<\/a> appears as streams of Light, rivers, and can not fill up the entire level\/sea. This is the aspect of ‘Yet the sea is not full’.
\nThe Light would fill the entire space\/level of Malchut<\/a>. When in darkness, the light appears as streams that comes down but can not fill the space. When the sea would be full, which would happen after the Final Redemption, we will be ‘swimming’ in a sea full of living waters, which is the Light of Binah<\/a>.

\nIsaiah 59:1<\/a>
\n“הֵן לֹא-קָצְרָה יַד-יְהוָה, מֵהוֹשִׁיעַ; וְלֹא-כָבְדָה אָזְנוֹ, מִשְּׁמוֹעַ”
\n“Behold, YHVH<\/a>’S hand is not so short That it cannot save; Nor is His ear so dull That it cannot hear.”
\nThe YHVH<\/a> name is the aspect of mercy. The Zohar reveals that the names that are called ‘יד’ ‘hand’ of YHVH<\/a> are the source of Light to all. The ‘Great hand’ (Exodus 14:31<\/a>), the ‘Strong hand’ (Deuteronomy 34:12<\/a>), the ‘High hand’ (Exodus 14:8<\/a>) are all aspect of light of mercy.
