47. מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהֲרֵי הֶעָפָר, כְּשֶׁהא מוֹלִיד בַּכֹּחַ שֶׁל שְׁלֹשֶׁת הָעֶלְיוֹנִים, מוֹצִיא אַרְבָּעָה נְהָרוֹת שֶׁשָּׁם נִמְצָאוֹת אֲבָנִים יְקָרוֹת, וְהֵם בְּמָקוֹם אֶחָד, שֶׁכָּתוּב שָׁם הַבְּדֹלַח וְאֶבֶן הַשֹּׁהַם. וְאוֹתָן אֲבָנִים יְקָרוֹת הֵן שְׁתֵּים עֶשְּׂרֵה, וְהֵן לְאַרְבָּעָה צִדְדֵי הָעוֹלָם כְּנֶגֶד שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר שְׁבָטִים, שֶׁכָּתוּב (שמות כח) וְהָאֲבָנִים תִּהְיֶיןָ עַל שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה עַל שְׁמוֹתָם. וּשְׁנֵים עָשָׂר הַבָּקָר הַלָּלוּ שֶׁהֵם תַּחַת הַיָּם.
\n48. בֹּא רְאֵה, כָּל אַרְבַּעַת הַצְּדָדִים הָעֶלְיוֹנִים שֶׁאָמַרְנוּ, אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁנִּקְשָׁרִים זֶה בָּזֶה, וְהֵם הַקִּיּוּם שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה וָמַטָּה, קִיּוּם שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם יוֹתֵר הוּא הָרוּחַ, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהַכֹּל עוֹמֵד בִּגְלָלוֹ, וְנֶפֶשׁ לֹא עוֹמֶדֶת אֶלָּא בָּרוּחַ, שֶׁאִם נִגְרַעַת הָרוּחַ אֲפִלּוּ רֶגַע אֶחָד, אֵין הַנֶּפֶשׁ יְכוֹלָה לְהִתְקַיֵּם, וְסוֹד זֶה כָּתוּב (משלי יט) גַּם בְּלֹא דַעַת נֶפֶשׁ לֹא טוֹב. נֶפֶשׁ בְּלִי רוּחַ אֵינָהּ טוֹב, וְלֹא יְכוֹלָה לְהִתְקַיֵּם.<\/div>\n

\n“וְנָהָרּ יֹצֵא מֵעֵדֶן לְהַשְׁקוֹת אֶת הַגָּן וּמִשָּׁם יִפָּרֵד וְהָיָה לְאַרְבָּעָה רָאשִׁים”
\n“Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers.”
\nThe element of Earth with the force of the upper three bring out four rivers with precious stones. The river Pishon came out from the Fire element of the Earth.
\n11: “שֵׁם הָאֶחָד, פִּישׁוֹן–הוּא הַסֹּבֵב, אֵת כָּל-אֶרֶץ הַחֲוִילָה, אֲשֶׁר-שָׁם, הַזָּהָב”
\n“The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.”
\n12: “וּזְהַב הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא, טוֹב; שָׁם הַבְּדֹלַח, וְאֶבֶן הַשֹּׁהַם”
\n“The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there.”
\nThere are twelve precious stones in the four rivers. Three to each of the four directions, North, South, East and West. They are related to the 12 tribes of Israel<\/a>. Also linked to the twelve oxen holding the sea that King Solomon build in the Holy Temple. The ‘sea’ was a copper pool for water standing on top of twelve oxen. The water in this ‘sea’ used for the different services done in the Holy Temple.

\n“עֹמֵד עַל-שְׁנֵי עָשָׂר בָּקָר, שְׁלֹשָׁה פֹנִים צָפוֹנָה וּשְׁלֹשָׁה פֹנִים יָמָּה וּשְׁלֹשָׁה פֹּנִים נֶגְבָּה וּשְׁלֹשָׁה פֹּנִים מִזְרָחָה, וְהַיָּם עֲלֵיהֶם, מִלְמָעְלָה; וְכָל-אֲחֹרֵיהֶם, בָּיְתָה”
\n“It stood on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east; and the sea was set on top of them, and all their rear parts turned inward.”
\nThe twelve precious stones represent the Lights that come from the upper sefirot to Malchut<\/a>.

\nThe four elements \/ aspects make the foundation of the world but to maintain its existence the world needs the light of Ruach<\/a>, that comes from Da’at that is the root of the Central Column.
\nProverbs 19:2<\/a>
\n“גַּם בְּלֹא-דַעַת נֶפֶשׁ לֹא-טוֹב; ”
\n”Without Knowledge (Da’at), Nefesh<\/a> is not good”
\nThe soul level of Nefesh<\/a> is the light that holds the vessel together but without light of Ruach<\/a> that comes from the Sefira of Da’at, the vessel\/body cannot maintain its existence.
