\n‘comfort me with apples’ – like the ‘Ashishot’, the ‘apples’ are the aspect of the patriarchs that bring light to Yessod<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>. The difference between the ‘Ashishot’ and ‘apples’ are Chassadim<\/a>, mercy, that balance the wine of the Ashishot.
\n‘for I am love-sick’ is the aspect of unification of the ‘apples’, Right, Chassadim<\/a>, with the ‘wine’, judgment of the Left. The wine is strong and comes from the Left. It requires the Chassadim<\/a> of the Right to balance it. The Shechina is supported when the balance in the exile is achieved.

\nRabbi Yitzhak opened and quote Deuteronomy 32:38<\/a>
\n“אֲשֶׁר חֵלֶב זְבָחֵימוֹ יֹאכֵלוּ יִשְׁתּוּ יֵין נְסִיכָם יָקוּמוּ וְיַעְזְרֻכֶם יְהִי עֲלֵיכֶם סִתְרָה”
\n“Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, And drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you, Let them be your hiding place!”
\nThe Israelites<\/a> are holy because the Holy One Blessed be He wants to sanctify them. They are able to connect to Binah<\/a>, where the source of the preserved ‘wine’ is available. It’s the source of life and holiness that comes from Binah<\/a> on the Left column<\/a>.
\nThe wine we drink in this world is parallel to the ‘wine’ above and it can draw the holiness from Binah<\/a>. The Israelites<\/a> connect to Zeir Anpin<\/a> to receive the preserved wine that is the light of the Tree of Life<\/a>. The life force come from Chokmah<\/a> into Binah<\/a> and the Kiddush blessing draw it to Malchut<\/a>.
