45. כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר, (בראשית ח) לֹא אֹסִף לְקַלֵּל עוֹד אֶת הָאֲדָמָה בַּעֲבוּר הָאָדָם. מַה זֶּה לֹא אֹסִף? לֹא אֶתֵּן תּוֹסֶפֶת לְבַעֲלֵי דִין לְהַשְׁמִיד אֶת הָעוֹלָם, אֶלָּא תּוֹסֶפֶת כְּמוֹ שֶׁהָעוֹלָם יָכוֹל לִסְבֹּל. וְעַל זֶה וְיָסַפְתִּי, אֶתֵּן תּוֹסֶפֶת וַדַּאי.
\n46. לָמָּה תּוֹסֶפֶת? כְּדֵי לְיַסֵּר אֶתְכֶם שֶׁבַע עַל חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם. שֶׁבַע? וַהֲרֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא אִם גּוֹבֶה אֶת שֶׁלּוֹ, אֵין הָעוֹלָם יָכוֹל לִסְבֹּל אֲפִלּוּ רֶגַע אֶחָד, זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים קל) אִם עֲוֹנוֹת תִּשְׁמָר יָהּ אֲדֹנָי מִי יַעֲמֹד, וְאַתָּה אָמַרְתָּ שֶׁבַע עַל חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם?!
\n47. אֶלָּא מַה תַּלְמוּד לוֹמַר שֶׁבַע? אֶלָּא הֲרֵי שֶׁבַע כְּנֶגְדְּכֶם, וּמִי הִיא? זוֹ שְׁמִטָּה, שֶׁהִיא שֶׁבַע, שֶׁנִּקְרֵאת שֶׁבַע, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (דברים טז) מִקֵּץ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים תַּעֲשֶׂה שְׁמִטָּה. וְעַל זֶה שֶׁבַע עַל חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם, וְנִקְרֵאת שֶׁבַע, וְנִקְרֵאת בַּת שֶׁבַע. מַה בֵּין זֶה לָזֶה? אֶלָּא שֶׁבַע לְבַדָּהּ, לַעֲשׂוֹת שְׁמִטָּה וְלַעֲשׂוֹת דִּינִים, לְהוֹצִיא חֵרוּת, שֶׁהַכֹּל בָּהּ. נִקְרֵאת בַּת שֶׁבַע, שֶׁהִתְחַבְּרָה עִם אַחֵר כְּאֶחָד, לְהָאִיר, לִשְׁלֹט בַּמַּלְכוּת, לְהוֹדִיעַ הַמַּלְכוּת בָּאָרֶץ וּבַכֹּל, בַּת שֶׁבַע נִקְרֵאת. כָּתוּב, עַל כֵּן שֵׁם הָעִיר בְּאֵר שֶׁבַע עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה. בְּאֵר שֶׁבַע, בְּאֵרוֹ שֶׁל יִצְחָק הִיא, וְהַכֹּל הוּא דָּבָר אֶחָד.\n<\/div>\n

\n“וַיָּרַח יְהוָה אֶת רֵיחַ הַנִּיחֹחַ וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל לִבּוֹ לֹא אֹסִף לְקַלֵּל עוֹד אֶת הָאֲדָמָה בַּעֲבוּר הָאָדָם כִּי יֵצֶר לֵב הָאָדָם רַע מִנְּעֻרָיו וְלֹא אֹסִף עוֹד לְהַכּוֹת אֶת כָּל חַי כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי”
\n“Then YHVH<\/a> smelled the soothing aroma; and YHVH<\/a> said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.”
\n‘I will never again curse the ground’, means that God won’t let judgments to destroy the world but only to the level that the world can carry.

\n“וְאִם-עַד-אֵלֶּה–לֹא תִשְׁמְעוּ, לִי: וְיָסַפְתִּי לְיַסְּרָה אֶתְכֶם, שֶׁבַע עַל-חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם”
\n“If after these things you do not obey me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins”
\nIf God were to punish\/correct us according to our sins, the world wouldn’t be able to stay in existence even for one moment.
\nPsalms 130:3<\/a>
\n“אִם עֲו‍ֹנוֹת תִּשְׁמָר יָהּ אֲדֹנָי מִי יַעֲמֹד”
\nGod holds the judgments from execution to save the world from a complete collapse.

\n‘then I will punish you seven times more for your sins’. Seven is the aspect of the process of the seven Sefirot. When we reach the seventh that is Malchut<\/a>, there is a state of rest that is called ‘שמיטה’, the sabbatical year. The Hebrew word means ‘to omit’ and ‘to let loose’.
\n‘seven times’ is the aspect of judgments that can be freed on the seventh, the sabbatical year.
\nDeuteronomy 15:1<\/a>
\n“מִקֵּץ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים תַּעֲשֶׂה שְׁמִטָּה.”
\n“At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts.”
\nOn the seventh year like on Shabbat we have the Light of Binah<\/a> available for us and we can rest from work. We forgive unpaid debts and follow other spiritual laws that connect to the freedom aspect of this year.
