60. פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (מלאכי א) בֵּן יְכַבֵּד אָב וְעֶבֶד אֲדֹנָיו. בֵּן יְכַבֵּד אָב, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (שמות כ) כַּבֵּד אֶת אָבִיךָ וְאֶת אִמֶּךָ, וּפֵרְשׁוּהָ, בְּמַאֲכָל וּבְמִשְׁתֶּה וּבַכֹּל. זֶה בְּחַיָּיו שֶׁהִתְחַיֵּב בּוֹ. אַחַר שֶׁמֵּת, אִם תֹּאמַר הֲרֵי הוּא פָּטוּר מִמֶּנּוּ – לֹא כָּךְ. שֶׁאַף עַל גַּב שֶׁמֵּת, הִתְחַיֵּב בִּכְבוֹדוֹ יוֹתֵר, שֶׁכָּתוּב כַּבֵּד אֶת אָבִיךָ. שֶׁאִם אוֹתוֹ הַבֵּן הוֹלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ עִקֶּשֶׁת, וַדַּאי שֶׁהוּא מְבַזֶּה אֶת אָבִיו, וַדַּאי שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה לוֹ קָלוֹן. וְאִם אוֹתוֹ הַבֵּן הוֹלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה, וּמְתַקֵּן אֶת מַעֲשָׂיו, וַדַּאי שֶׁזֶּה מְכַבֵּד אֶת אָבִיו, מְכַבֵּד אוֹתוֹ בְּאוֹתוֹ הָעוֹלָם אֵצֶל בְּנֵי אָדָם, מְכַבֵּד אוֹתוֹ בְּאוֹתוֹ הָעוֹלָם אֵצֶל הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא. וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא חָס עָלָיו וּמוֹשִׁיב אוֹתוֹ בְּכִסֵּא כְבוֹדוֹ. וַדַּאי בֵּן יְכַבֵּד אָב.
\n61. כְּמוֹ רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר שֶׁמְּכַבֵּד אֶת אָבִיו בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וּבְאוֹתוֹ הָעוֹלָם, עַכְשָׁו מִתְרַבֶּה כְבוֹדוֹ שֶׁל רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן בִּשְׁנֵי עוֹלָמוֹת – בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה, וּבְאוֹתוֹ הָעוֹלָם יוֹתֵר אֲשֶׁר בְּחַיָּיו. שֶׁזָּכָה לְבָנִים קְדוֹשִׁים וְלִגְזָעִים קְדוֹשִׁים. אַשְׁרֵי הַצַּדִּיקִים שֶׁזּוֹכִים לְבָנִים קְדוֹשִׁים, לִגְזָעִים קְדוֹשִׁים. עֲלֵיהֶם נִקְרָא, כָּל רֹאֵיהֶם יַכִּירוּם כִּי הֵם זֶרַע בֵּרַךְ ה’. אָמֵן. בָּרוּךְ ה’ לְעוֹלָם אָמֵן וְאָמֵן. יִמְלֹךְ ה’ לְעוֹלָם אָמֵן וְאָמֵן.<\/div>\n

\n“בֵּן יְכַבֵּד אָב וְעֶבֶד אֲדֹנָיו וְאִם אָב אָנִי אַיֵּה כְבוֹדִי וְאִם אֲדוֹנִים אָנִי אַיֵּה מוֹרָאִי אָמַר יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת לָכֶם הַכֹּהֲנִים בּוֹזֵי שְׁמִי וַאֲמַרְתֶּם בַּמֶּה בָזִינוּ אֶת שְׁמֶךָ”
\n“‘A son honors his father, and a servant his master. Then if I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My respect?’ says YHVH<\/a> of hosts to you, O priests<\/a> who despise My name. But you say, ‘How have we despised Your name?’”
\nThe Torah commands us to honor our fathers and mothers. We do that during their lives but the obligation to honor them is also after they die. If the son dishonors his parents he causes them shame in the upper world. If the son honors his father in this world by following the ways of YHVH<\/a> then the Holy One Blessed Be He brings mercy on him and sits him next to him.

\nAn example to this is Rabbi Elazar that honored his father, Rabbi Shimon, in this world and in the upper worlds. Even more that during his life.
\nIsaiah 61:9<\/a>
\n“וְנוֹדַע בַּגּוֹיִם זַרְעָם וְצֶאֱצָאֵיהֶם בְּתוֹךְ הָעַמִּים כָּל רֹאֵיהֶם יַכִּירוּם כִּי הֵם זֶרַע בֵּרַךְ יְהוָה”
\n“Then their offspring will be known among the nations, And their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them Because they are the offspring whom YHVH<\/a> has blessed.”
\nThe Zohar studies create great impact on the spiritual levels and affect those who are part of our own roots of the soul. It begins with our parents and all others. Because of that those who connect to our roots enjoy great blessings and ascend in the spiritual worlds above.
\n‘the offspring whom YHVH<\/a> has blessed’ is the aspect of the blessings our roots get when we strengthen them with our positive action in this world. When they are strong above, they can support us in this world.
\nThis completes the study of Zohar Bechukotai. Next year we will ‘stretch’ the study of Behar instead.
\nWe thank God for giving us the wisdom and energy to complete this part. B”H we will finish soon the study of more Zohar portions.<\/strong><\/span>
\nLast week we started the tenth year of Daily Zohar studies. The tenth is Malchut<\/a> considered Holy for YHVH<\/a> (‘קודש לה), meaning, ‘dedicated’ to YHVH<\/a>.
