59. מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ דֶּגֶל שֶׁל מַחֲנֵה אֶפְרַיִם יָמָּה, וְהוּא בֵּין צָפוֹן לְדָרוֹם. דָּרוֹם רְאוּבֵן מִצַּד אֶחָד, שֶׁכָּתוּב דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה רְאוּבֵן תֵּימָנָה. צָפוֹן דָּן מִצַּד אַחֵר, שֶׁכָּתוּב דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה דָן צָפֹנָה. אֶפְרַיִם בֵּין זֶה לָזֶה. נִמְצָא מַעֲרָב, שֶׁהוּא אֶפְרַיִם, בֵּין צָפוֹן לְדָרוֹם, הַכֹּל כְּמוֹ לְמַעְלָה.

\nDuring their travel in the wilderness, the tribe of Ephraim was placed in west of the Israelites<\/a> camps. The tribe of Reuben was on the south. In the north was the tribe of Dan. The tribes were arranged according to their spiritual significant in the upper world.
\nLesson:
\nWe all have spiritual ‘direction’. If we are part of a social community and meet regularly, we see that people have a preference location in the room. There’s an internal ‘GPS’ in each one of us that guides us to where we should we can ‘rest’ comfortably.

\nThe Zohar reveals that to make unification with the upper levels, we need to first accept the ‘yoke’ of the Holy Shechina. It means that our different spiritual connections support the Shechina and with that we can make unifications with the upper levels. Our first connection should be with the South’ that is Chessed<\/a>. It gives us access to the other levels.
\nWe achieve connection to Chessed<\/a> by making daily studies and prayers (especially men), act with kindness toward all beings and give Tzedakah. With that we can open better channels for our prayers to be heard and answered.
