45. חָכְמָתוֹ שֶׁל מֹשֶׁה, בָּזֶה הִסְתַּכֵּל וּבְמַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית הִשְׁגִּיחַ הִתְבּוֹנֵן. בְּמַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית הָיְתָה מַחֲלֹקֶת שְׂמֹאל עִם יָמִין, וּבְאוֹתָהּ מַחֲלֹקֶת שֶׁהִתְעוֹרֵר בּוֹ הַשְּׂמֹאל, יָצָא בּוֹ גֵּיהִנֹּם וְנִדְבַּק בּוֹ. הָעַמּוּד הָאֶמְצָעִי שֶׁהוּא יוֹם שְׁלִישִׁי, נִכְנַס בֵּינֵיהֶם וְהִפְרִיד הַמַּחֲלֹקֶת וְהִסְכִּים לִשְׁנֵי צְדָדִים. וְגֵיהִנֹּם יָרַד לְמַטָּה. וּשְׂמֹאל נִכְלַל בַּיָּמִין, וְהָיָה שָׁלוֹם בַּכֹּל.
\n46. כְּמוֹ זֶה מַחֲלֹקֶת קֹרַח בְּאַהֲרֹן, שְׂמֹאל בְּיָמִין. הִסְתַּכֵּל מֹשֶׁה בְּמַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית. אָמַר לִי, רָאוּי לְהַפְרִיד מַחֲלֹקֶת בֵּין יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאל. הִשְׁתַּדֵּל לְהַסְכִּים בֵּינֵיהֶם. וְלֹא רָצָה הַשְּׂמֹאל, וְהִתְחַזֵּק קֹרַח בְּחָזְקוֹ.
\n47. אָמַר, וַדַּאי גֵּיהִנֹּם בַּכֹּחַ שֶׁל הַמַּחֲלֹקֶת שְׂמֹאל צָרִיךְ לְהִתְדַּבֵּק [לְמַעְלָה וּלְהִכָּלֵל בַּיָּמִין] הוּא לֹא רָצָה לְהִדָּבֵק לְמַעְלָה וּלְהִכָּלֵל בַּיָּמִין, וַדַּאי יֵרֵד לְמַטָּה בְּכֹחַ הָרֹגֶז שֶׁלּוֹ.
\n48. וְעַל זֶה לֹא רָצָה קֹרַח לְהַסְכִּים מַחֲלֹקֶת זוֹ בְּיַד מֹשֶׁה, בִּגְלַל שֶׁלֹּא הָיָה לְשֵׁם שָׁמַיִם, וְלֹא חָשַׁשׁ לַכָּבוֹד שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה וְהִכְחִישׁ מַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית. כֵּיוָן שֶׁרָאָה מֹשֶׁה שֶׁהִכְחִישׁ מַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית וְנִדְחָה הוּא הַחוּצָה, אָז וַיִּחַר לְמֹשֶׁה מְאֹד.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Beresheet A<\/strong>
\nAfter the sin of the spies in the previous portion of Shelach Lecha, God decreed that all adults, age 20 and above, would not enter the Promised Land and die in the wilderness.
\nNumbers 14:29<\/a>
\n“בַּמִּדְבָּר הַזֶּה יִפְּלוּ פִגְרֵיכֶם וְכָל-פְּקֻדֵיכֶם, לְכָל-מִסְפַּרְכֶם, מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה, וָמָעְלָה: אֲשֶׁר הֲלִינֹתֶם, עָלָי”
\n“your corpses will fall in this wilderness, even all your numbered men, according to your complete number from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against Me.”
\nNow the Israelites<\/a> had to go through a process of death. For 40 years, 2.5% of the adults would die in the wilderness every day. With such dark cloud over their heads, they were looking to maximize on their condition.
\nKorach came to complain about Aaron for given a higher position while he is from the same family and should have same entitlements.

\nMoses in his wisdom saw the process of Creation and the division between the right and the left that happened on the second day. On that day, Gehinnom<\/a> (Hell) was created. The third day that is the aspect of the Central column, came between the right and left to create balance. Gehinnom<\/a> went down to the lowest level to allow peace and completion to spread and be in everything.

\nMoses’s soul was from the Central column and when he saw the division between Aaron and Korach, he wanted to bring balance. Korach was from the Left side and didn’t want to let go.
\nMoses knew that if the Left doesn’t want to join the Right, it will go down to Gehinnom<\/a> because of its disconnection from the Central column.
\nNumbers 16:11<\/a>
\n“לָכֵן, אַתָּה וְכָל-עֲדָתְךָ–הַנֹּעָדִים, עַל-יְהוָה; וְאַהֲרֹן מַה-הוּא, כִּי תלונו (תַלִּינוּ) עָלָיו”
\n“”Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against YHVH<\/a>; but as for Aaron, who is he that you grumble against him?””
\nMoses became angry (Numbers 16:15<\/a>) because he knew the outcome that Korach invites on himself when having a strong selfish desire, ignoring the ways of God and rejecting balance.

\nThe Zohar explains that Korach didn’t have interest in balance or a compromised offer as it is proper to accept when seeking to find the light in conflicting situations. He wanted the Left to have control over the whole system because he was spiritually elevated and saw that from his line many great souls will come, especially Samuel the prophet that was considered equivalent to Moses and Aaron together.
\nPsalms 99:6<\/a>
\n“מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן בְּכֹהֲנָיו וּשְׁמוּאֵל בְּקֹרְאֵי שְׁמוֹ קֹרִאים אֶל יְהוָה וְהוּא יַעֲנֵם”
\n“Moses and Aaron were among His priests<\/a>, And Samuel was among those who called on His name; They called upon YHVH<\/a> and He answered them.”
\nEven though the descendents of Korach would be great, Korach himself was selfish and “Leftist’ (Spiritually). He was the richest of all and now he claims entitlement for a high leadership position. For that ‘Leftism’ (spiritually speaking), he became the first and only one to be ‘buried’ in Gehinnom<\/a> with all of his possessions.
\n(Numbers 16:32<\/a>) “וַתִּפְתַּח הָאָרֶץ אֶת פִּיהָ וַתִּבְלַע אֹתָם וְאֶת בָּתֵּיהֶם וְאֵת כָּל הָאָדָם אֲשֶׁר לְקֹרַח וְאֵת כָּל הָרֲכוּשׁ”
\n“and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions.”
\nLessons;
\nAs the Left-side forces in the world have desires for greater control over the system, the separation and distance from the Light is growing wider.
\nOn average there are 1000 earthquakes every month month around the world. These little to medium quakes swallow only part of the evil ‘Left’ of the world. We need to avoid divisions, conflicts and all kind of selfish desires because each of such negatives brings us closer to the big earthquake that lead to Gehinnom<\/a>. Good actions delay the devastation that may happen if we are not careful with our actions.
