\nThe first blessings established by Moses in the wilderness when we received the gift of the Manna from heavens.
\n“בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה הַזָּן אֶת הַכֹּל”
\n“Blessed are You, YHVH<\/a>, who provides food for all.”
\nJoshua added the blessing when they entered the Land of Israel<\/a>.“בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה עַל הָאָרֶץ וְעַל הַמָּזוֹן”
\n“Blessed are You, YHVH<\/a>, for the land and for the sustenance”
\nKing David prepared everything for his son King Solomon to build the Holy Temple. They added the third blessing
\n“בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה , בּוֹנֵה יְרוּשָׁלָיִם ”
\n“Blessed are You, YHVH<\/a>, Who in His mercy rebuilds Jerusalem<\/a>. Amen.”
\nIn the Torah story of the Manna coming down from heaven we find the connection to the food blessing.
\nExodus 16:12<\/a>
\n“שָׁמַעְתִּי, אֶת-תְּלוּנֹּת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל–דַּבֵּר אֲלֵהֶם לֵאמֹר בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם תֹּאכְלוּ בָשָׂר, וּבַבֹּקֶר תִּשְׂבְּעוּ-לָחֶם; וִידַעְתֶּם, כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם”
\n“I have heard the grumbling of the people of Israel<\/a>. Say to them, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am YHVH<\/a> your God.’”
\n‘Then you shall know’ is the aspect of connection, ‘Daat’, that delivers the upper light to the lower levels. “To know” is to make a connection to the upper levels.
\nThe blessing over the Manna was based on the special flavor that a person asked to taste from the Manna. If it was a fruit, then the blessing was for the fruits etc. The righteous people didn’t look to satisfy their desire for a specific taste. They made the blessing “Blessed be You O YHVH<\/a>, who has brought forth bread out of the heavens”. When we find the Manna that Moses saved for the future (Exodus 16:33<\/a>) we will be able to repeat this blessing.
\n“The seven ‘ז’ letters”

\nOn the Tefillin of the head we have the letter ש on one side constructed with 3 letters ז and on the other side<\/a> the letter ש is constructed with 4 ז . Rabbi Shimon says that they imply to the seven parts of the lungs that take in air and bring out spark of fire from the mouth.
\nThe air includes from Fire (from the warmth of the heart that’s between the lungs), Water (from the moisture in the air) and Air. Also the 7 letters relate to the seven days of the week, called days of Shabbat that is the seventh day. Also the seven weeks from Passover to Shavuot. Also the seven branches of the Menorah that have seven holy candles. Also the seven major planets that we see in heavens.
\nThe seven imply to the seven sefirot of Chessed<\/a>, Gevurah<\/a>, Tiferet<\/a>, Netzach<\/a>, Hod<\/a>, yessod<\/a> and Malchut<\/a> that the world depends on them. They are the root and the foundation that sustain this world.
\nThe Zohar says that when we put the Tefilin on our head, we should look at the two ש letters on the right and left of the Tefilin because they conceal deep secrets.
