81. שֶׁכָּךְ פֵּרְשׁוּהָ חַכְמֵי הַמִּשְׁנָה, שֶׁמֵּתֵי חוּץ לָאָרֶץ אֵינָם חַיִּים. לֹא אָמְרוּ שֶׁאֵינָם עֲתִידִים לְהֵחָיוֹת, שֶׁאִלְמָלֵא כָּךְ הָיוּ כוֹפְרִים בִּתְחִיַּת הַמֵּתִים. אֶלָּא כָּאן סוֹד גָּדוֹל. קְבוּרָתוֹ בְצֶלֶם שֶׁאֵינוֹ הָגוּן לוֹ, שֶׁהִיא (תהלים סג) אֶרֶץ צִיָּה וְעָיֵף בְּלִי מַיִם, וְאֵין מַיִם אֶלָּא תּוֹרָה, וּבָהּ (ישעיה נג) לֹא תֹאַר לוֹ וְלֹא הָדָר. וּמִי שֶׁרוֹאֶה אוֹתוֹ בְּאוֹתוֹ צֶלֶם – וְנִרְאֵהוּ וְלֹא מַרְאֶה וְנֶחְמְדֵהוּ. וְלָכֵן נְבוּאַת יְשַׁעְיָה (שם נב) הִנֵּה יַשְׂכִּיל עַבְדִּי, רוֹמֵז עָלָיו.
\n82. וּמִשּׁוּם אוֹתָהּ קְבוּרָה הָיָה מְבַקֵּשׁ רַחֲמִים שֶׁלֹּא יָמוּת שָׁם בְּחוּץ לָאָרֶץ, לְפִי שֶׁהָיָה בְּאֶרֶץ צִיָּה רָעֵב וְעָיֵף וְצָמֵא בְּלִי מַיִם, שֶׁהִיא הַתּוֹרָה. וְלָכֵן נֶאֱמַר עָלָיו, עֲלֵה אֶל הַר הָעֲבָרִים הַזֶּה. מִשִּׁפְלוּתוֹ הֶרְאָה לוֹ אֶת מַעֲלָתוֹ. אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁאַתָּה קָבוּר בְּמָקוֹם שֶׁלֹּא הָגוּן לְךָ, עָרֹם בְּלִי לְבוּשִׁים שֶׁלְּךָ, שֶׁהֵם עוֹר וּבָשָׂר (תַּלְבִּישֵׁנִי), נָע וָנָד מִמְּקוֹמְךָ וּמְטֻלְטָל וְגוֹלֶה, הֲרֵי פִּנְחָס שֶׁעָשִׂיתָ עִמּוֹ טוֹב, שֶׁעָלֶיךָ נֶאֱמַר (במדבר כה) הִנְנִי נֹתֵן לוֹ אֶת בְּרִיתִי שָׁלוֹם, הֲרֵי הוּא יַעֲשֶׂה עִמְּךָ טוֹבָה, וּבוֹ תִסְתַּלֵּק, בַּפָּרָשָׁה שֶׁלּוֹ. שֶׁבָּהּ הַכַּלָּה שֶׁלְּךָ, שָׁם תִּתְיַחֵד עִמָּהּ כְּחָתָן עִם כַּלָּתוֹ.<\/div>\n

\nMoses was buried outside the land of Israel<\/a> that is considered to be a lower level of state after death. It was not proper death for Moses to be buried in the wilderness, outside the Holy Land, where is the place of the Klipot<\/a>. God had good reasons for that and before Moses died God told him to go up the mountain of Abarim.
\nNumbers 27:12<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל מֹשֶׁה עֲלֵה אֶל הַר הָעֲבָרִים הַזֶּה וּרְאֵה אֶת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל”
\n“Then YHVH<\/a> said to Moses, “Go up to this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel<\/a>.”
\nIt was a message for Moses that his spiritual state is not going to get hurt even if he is buried outside the Holy Land. The Zohar reveals that the following verse from Isaiah’s prophecy is related to Moses at the time of the Final redemption.

\n“הִנֵּה יַשְׂכִּיל עַבְדִּי יָרוּם וְנִשָּׂא וְגָבַהּ מְאֹד”
\n“Behold, My servant will prosper, He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.”

\nMoses begged God not to be buried in the wilderness where there is no Torah. God elevated him to the mountain of Abarim. The name of the mountain means ‘passages’. God promised Moses that in the future Elijah the prophet who is Pinchas will help him to connect Mashiach son of Joseph<\/a> and Mashiach son of David to bring about the Final Redemption. Moses bestowed on Pinchas the eternal priesthood, and as a priest, Pinchas\/Elijah would open the ‘Holy of Holies’ and reveal the great light of Mashiach. Then Moses would connect and unified with the Holy Land that is the aspect of Malchut<\/a> and the Holy Bride, the Shechina.
