75. מִנַּיִן יָדַע אַבְרָהָם? שֶׁכָּתוּב לְזַרְעֲךָ נָתַתִּי אֶת הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת. אָז יָדַע אַבְרָהָם שֶׁהִנֵּה הָאָרֶץ לֹא נִתְקְנָה בְּתִקּוּן קָדוֹשׁ, אֶלָּא בִּדְרָגוֹת [יְדוּעוֹת] קְדוֹשׁוֹת שֶׁיֵּצְאוּ מִמֶּנּוּ. וְאָז יָדַע אַבְרָהָם אֶת סוֹד הַחָכְמָה, שֶׁהָאָרֶץ לֹא תִתַּקֵּן בִּקְדֻשָּׁה, אֶלָּא כְּפִי שֶׁאָמַרְנוּ.
\n76. הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא רוֹמֵז חָכְמָה עֶלְיוֹנָה בְּאַבְרָהָם וּבְיִצְחָק. אַבְרָהָם זוֹ הַנְּשָׁמָה לִנְשָׁמָה וְהִיא [ס”א אָב וְרָם], וְהַנְּשָׁמָה הַזּוֹ הִיא שָׂרָה. לוֹט זֶה הוּא הַנָּחָ”שׁ וּבַת זוּגוֹ שֶׁל הַסמא”ל הַהוּא. רוּ”חַ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה זֶה יִצְחָק. נֶפֶ”שׁ הַקְּדוֹשָׁה זוֹ רִבְקָה. יֵצֶ”ר הָרָע זוֹ רוּחַ הַבְּהֵמָה, וְעַל זֶה אָמַר שְׁלֹמֹה בְּחָכְמָתוֹ (קהלת ג) מִי יוֹדֵעַ רוּחַ בְּנֵי הָאָדָם הָעֹלָה הִיא וגו’. נֶפֶשׁ הַבַּהֲמִית זוֹ הַנֶּפֶשׁ מִצַּד הַיֵּצֶר הָרָע.

\nWhen God told this to Abraham he understood that there is a work to go through in order to earn the future benefits. He needed to correct Malchut<\/a> to receive the upper light.

\nAbraham had a soul Neshama<\/a> of Neshamah that is the supreme level of the light of the soul level of Chaya<\/a>. Sarah was the aspect of Neshama<\/a>. Lot, Abraham’s nephew was the aspect of the Snake<\/a> and the partner of Sam-el<\/a> the angel of the other side<\/a>. Isaac was the aspect of the holy aspect of Rush. Rebecca was the aspect of holy level of Nefesh<\/a>.
\nThe evil inclination is the aspect of animal level of Ruach<\/a> as it said by King Solomon;

\nThe animal soul level of Nefesh<\/a> is from the evil side.

\nThe level of Neshama<\/a> of Neshama<\/a> comes to a person when he is with awe and wisdom, that is a connection to the sefirah of Chokmah<\/a>.
\nPsalms 111:10<\/a>
\n“רֵאשִׁית חָכְמָה יִרְאַת יְהוָה שֵׂכֶל טוֹב לְכָל עֹשֵׂיהֶם תְּהִלָּתוֹ עֹמֶדֶת לָעַד”
\n“The awe of YHVH<\/a> is the beginning of wisdom (Chokmah<\/a>); all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!”
\nThe Neshama<\/a> comes by repentance<\/a>, Teshuvah<\/a> that is called Binah<\/a>. The level of Ruach<\/a> is called ‘voice’ and Da’at. It comes to the person that his voice utter Torah. Ruach<\/a> is also called the written Torah<\/a>. The good deeds come from the positive aspect of the level of Nefesh<\/a>.
\nThe lights of the soul come from Chokmah<\/a>, Binah<\/a> and Da’at.
\nLesson;
\nThe patriarchs and matriarchs represent for us levels of light that we can draw and expand our soul. Just by studying the Torah through the Zohar we make spiritual connections to these levels that elevate our souls. The Zohar specifies the importance of the written Torah<\/a> to achieve the level of Ruach<\/a>.
\nAlmost every paragraph of the Zohar refers to a Torah verse that reveals its inner light and deeper meaning. The Daily Zohar follows the study method of the Zohar and bring the complete Torah verse. It allow us to connect to the written Torah<\/a> and draw the light of Ruach<\/a> from the upper sefirot.
\nThe Daily Zohar is not always easy to understand but it’s like spiritual vitamins that nourish us even if we don’t logically understand how it works.
\nTalmud, tractate Peah 1:1<\/a>
\n“אֵלּוּ דְבָרִים שֶׁאֵין לָהֶם שִׁעוּר: הַפֵּאָה, וְהַבִּכּוּרִים, וְהָרְאָיוֹן, וּגְמִילוּת חֲסָדִים, וְתַלְמוּד תּוֹרָה. אֵלּוּ דְבָרִים שֶׁאָדָם אוֹכֵל פֵּרוֹתֵיהֶם בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה, וְהַקֶּרֶן קַיֶּמֶת לוֹ לָעוֹלָם הַבָּא: כִּבּוּד אָב וָאֵם, וּגְמִילוּת חֲסָדִים, וַהֲבָאַת שָׁלוֹם בֵּין אָדָם לַחֲבֵרוֹ; וְתַלְמוּד תּוֹרָה כְּנֶגֶד כֻּלָּם”
\n“These are the things that have no measure: The Peah of the field, the first-fruits, the appearance [at the Temple in Jerusalem<\/a> on Pilgrimage Festivals], acts of kindness, and the study of the Torah.
\nThese are things the fruits of which a man enjoys in this world, while the principle remains for him in the World to Come: Honoring father and mother<\/a>, acts of kindness, and bringing peace between a man and his fellow. But the study of Torah is equal to them all.”
\nThe above paragraph is part of our morning prayer to remind us the importance of Torah study. The actions we do in this world affect our soul level of Nefesh<\/a> but the study of Torah affects the level of Ruach<\/a> and that is why the sages teach us that the study of Torah is equal to all of the positive actions in this world.
\nJust remember that when you study Torah you need to follow it and the Torah teaches us not to miss any opportunity to do good.
