\n“But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If it is so, why then am I (אָנֹכִי) this way?” So she went to inquire of YHVH<\/a>.”
\nRebecca saw the Shechina everyday in her tent, where she was praying. When she felt her children abnormal activity in her belly she came out of the level of the Shechinah, אָנֹכִי, and went to seek YHVH<\/a>.
\nJacob saw the Shechina in his mother<\/a>’s tent but he wasn’t aware of it until after his dream.

\n“וַיִּירָא וַיֹּאמַר מַה נּוֹרָא הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה אֵין זֶה כִּי אִם בֵּית אֱלֹהִים וְזֶה שַׁעַר הַשָּׁמָיִם”
\n“And he was in awe and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.””
\nWhen Jacob awoke, he saw ‘this place’,’הַמָּקוֹם’, which is the aspect of the Shechina, Malchut<\/a> and he saw the ‘gate of heaven’ that is Yessod<\/a>.
\nLesson;
\nSometimes we don’t see the light that is in front of us, until we move away from it. We get used to the things around us and most of the time lose appreciation or become blind to its existence.
\nSome quit good jobs or relationships to realize later the great loss.
\nGenesis 24:67<\/a>
\n“וַיְבִאֶהָ יִצְחָק הָאֹהֱלָה שָׂרָה אִמּוֹ וַיִּקַּח אֶת רִבְקָה וַתְּהִי לוֹ לְאִשָּׁה וַיֶּאֱהָבֶהָ וַיִּנָּחֵם יִצְחָק אַחֲרֵי אִמּוֹ”
\n“Then Isaac brought her into the tent of Sarah his mother<\/a> and took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother<\/a>’s death.”
\nRebecca didn’t know Sarah, her mother<\/a> in law but both of them were pure and meritted to have the Shechina dwell with them. When Sarah lived, a cloud that represented the Shechina was above the tent, the Challah she baked and represented the force of sustenance was always fresh as if it was just came out of the oven and a shabbat candle that represented her spiritual connections was lit for a week until the next Shabbat.
\nWhen she passed away those miracles disappeared but when Isaac brought Rebecca into his mother<\/a>’s tent the miracles came back.
\nOnly after Isaac realized the spiritual level of Rebecca, he took her to be his wife, then he loved her.
\nRebecca came from a family of wicked people. Her father was a wicked king and died when he came to kill Eliezer, Abraham servant, that came to look for a wife for Isaac. Rebecca’s brother was Laban that later gave Jacob hard time before he married Leah and Rachel his daughters.
\nHigh level souls come in the ‘shadow’ of negativity. Isaac came after Ishmael and Jacob had to come behind Esau as a concealed light to be revealed later.
\nThe Light is always concealed and we must work to earn and reveal it. The negativity that we see could be a klipa<\/a> that a lot of light is concealed behind it. We should evaluate the situation before we break out of it.
\nAnother lesson from Sarah and Rebecca is to sanctify our dwellings as if the Shechina that is a queen come to be with us. The best way to achieve that is to dedicate a small area at home, even a chair in the kitchen table where you can sit to study and pray. Keep yourself clean physically and mentally from any aspect of negativity and put your heart into the study (Book, PC, mobile device or even a recorded lesson, zohar text etc.). Dedicate regular times for study and increase the time on Shabbat (Friday night and Shabbat afternoon).
\nBaking Challah properly for Shabbat and lighting Shabbat candles are great positive actions to benefit materially and spiritually.
