(שם מז) וַיְלַקֵּט יוֹסֵף אֶת כָּל הַכֶּסֶף, וְכָךְ רָאוּי. שֶׁהֲרֵי אוֹתוֹ נָהָר שֶׁשּׁוֹפֵעַ וְיוֹצֵא, הוּא לוֹקֵט הַכֹּל, וְכָל הָעֹשֶׁר עוֹמֵד בּוֹ. וְזֶה סוֹד הַכָּתוּב (שם א) וַיִּתֵּן אֹתָם אֱלֹהִים בִּרְקִיעַ הַשָּׁמָיִם, וְהַכֹּל הוּא כָּרָאוּי, וַדַּאי יוֹסֵף צָרִיךְ לִשְׁלֹט עַל הַמַּלְכוּת.
\n79. וּבֹא רְאֵה, כָּתוּב וַיַּרְכֵּב אֹתוֹ בְּמִרְכֶּבֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה. מִי מִרְכֶּבֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה? הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא עָשַׂה אֶת הַצַּדִּיק שַׁלִּיט, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהִנֵּה מִמֶּנּוּ נִזּוֹן הָעוֹלָם, וְצָרִיךְ לְהִזּוֹן, וְלַקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא יֵשׁ מֶרְכָּבָה עֶלְיוֹנָה, וְיֵשׁ לוֹ מֶרְכָּבָה תַחְתּוֹנָה. הַמֶּרְכָּבָה הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה הִיא מִרְכֶּבֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה, וְיוֹסֵף נִקְרָא צַדִּיק, וְלוֹ רָאוּי לִהְיוֹת רוֹכֵב עַל מִרְכֶּבֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה אֲשֶׁר לוֹ, לַקָּדוֹשׁ-בָּרוּךְ-הוּא, וְהַכֹּל הוּא בְּסוֹד עֶלְיוֹן שֶׁיִּהְיֶה כְּמוֹ שֶׁלְּמַעְלָה.

\nThis Shabbat is Shabbat Hanukkah. It is very special because it’s also Rosh Chodesh<\/a> Tevet. Before Shabbat put few coins aside for Tzedakah <\/strong>(That’s a good habit to follow before every Shabbat) Light the Menorah and then light the Shabbat candles.<\/strong>
\nIf for some reasons, you are late then light the Menorah with blessings, then the Shabbat candles. Then you can go back to the menorah and sing the Hanukkah songs and meditation.

\n“וַיְלַקֵּט יוֹסֵף אֶת כָּל הַכֶּסֶף הַנִּמְצָא בְאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וּבְאֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן בַּשֶּׁבֶר אֲשֶׁר הֵם שֹׁבְרִים וַיָּבֵא יוֹסֵף אֶת הַכֶּסֶף בֵּיתָה פַרְעֹה”
\n“And Joseph<\/a> gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, in exchange for the grain that they bought. And Joseph<\/a> brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.”
\n Joseph<\/a> took control over the wealth of the world that came to purchase food from Egypt. That was his mission to govern Malchut<\/a>.

\n“וַיַּרְכֵּב אֹתוֹ בְּמִרְכֶּבֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה אֲשֶׁר לוֹ וַיִּקְרְאוּ לְפָנָיו אַבְרֵךְ וְנָתוֹן אֹתוֹ עַל כָּל אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם”
\n“And he made him ride in his second chariot<\/a>. And they called out before him, “Bow the knee!” Thus he set him over all the land of Egypt.”
\nThe Holy One Blessed Be He made Joseph<\/a> a ruler because he nourishes the world. The Holy One Blessed be He has upper chariot<\/a> that is the upper sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a> that receive from Binah<\/a>. The second and lower chariot<\/a> is Joseph<\/a>, Yessod<\/a>, that delivers nourishments to Malchut<\/a>.

\n‘Bow the knee!’, ‘אַבְרֵךְ’’, is a word with the root of ‘ברך’, ‘Knee’ and also ‘bless’, ‘ברוך’ that refers to Yessod<\/a>. During our prayers we kneel with appreciation with the word ‘ברוך’ (Baruch) to connect to yessod<\/a> and draw down the light to Malchut<\/a>.
\nThe people of Egypt bowed to Joseph<\/a> and called him ‘אַבְרֵךְ’’ to establish appreciation for the nourishments he brought to them.
\nLesson;
\nBaruch is a word of blessings. When we express appreciation to God and say “Baruch Hashem<\/a>” we connect Yessod<\/a> to the light of the Tree of Life<\/a>.
\nWhen we say ‘Baruch Ata’, Baruch is Yessod<\/a> and Ata is Malchut<\/a>. This teaches us the blessings that starts with Baruch Ata, make immediate connection between Yessod<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>. When we are at the prayer of the Amidah that is on the higher level, ‘Baruch’ connects us to the upper Chariot<\/a> that receives the light from Binah<\/a>.
