67. דָּבָר אַחֵר וְלֹא עָמַד אִישׁ אִתּוֹ – בִּזְמַן שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בָּא לְהִתְחַבֵּר עִם כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל. בְּהִתְוַדַּע יוֹסֵף אֶל אֶחָיו, בִּזְמַן שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא הָיָה מִתְחַבֵּר בָּהֶם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהֵם נוֹטְלִים לְבַדָּם, וְלֹא חִבּוּר שֶׁל עַמִּים עוֹבְדֵי עֲבוֹדַת כּוֹכָבִים וּמַזָּלוֹת עִמָּם. מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ, (במדבר כט) בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי עֲצֶרֶת תִּהְיֶה לָכֶם, שֶׁהֲרֵי בַּזְּמַן הַזֶּה הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְבַדּוֹ בְּחִבּוּר אֶחָד עִם יִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁכָּתוּב בָּהֶם לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעַי, כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאֲרוּהָ.
\n68. רַבִּי יֵיסָא פָּתַח הַפָּסוּק, בִּזְמַן שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא יָקִים אֶת כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִן הֶעָפָר וְיִרְצֶה לְהִנָּקֵם נְקָמָה מֵעַמִּים עוֹבְדֵי כוֹכָבִים וּמַזָּלוֹת, אֲזַי כָּתוּב (ישעיה סג) וּמֵעַמִּים אֵין אִישׁ אִתִּי, וְכָתוּב כָּאן וְלֹא עָמַד אִישׁ אִתּוֹ בְּהִתְוַדַּע יוֹסֵף אֶל אֶחָיו, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וַיְנַטְּלֵם וַיְנַשְּׂאֵם כָּל יְמֵי עוֹלָם.<\/div>\n

\n“וְלֹא יָכֹל יוֹסֵף לְהִתְאַפֵּק לְכֹל הַנִּצָּבִים עָלָיו וַיִּקְרָא הוֹצִיאוּ כָל אִישׁ מֵעָלָי וְלֹא עָמַד אִישׁ אִתּוֹ בְּהִתְוַדַּע יוֹסֵף אֶל אֶחָיו”
\n“Then Joseph<\/a> could not control himself before all those who stood by him. He cried, “Make everyone go out from me.” So no one stayed with him when Joseph<\/a> made himself known to his brothers.”
\n‘Then Joseph<\/a> could not control himself’ is the point that Joseph<\/a>, Yessod<\/a>, couldn’t hold himself from pouring sustenance to his brothers.
\n‘no one stayed with him when Joseph<\/a> made himself known to his brothers’. This describes the unification ‘Known\/Knowledge, Da’at’ of Yessod<\/a> and the Shechina that Joseph<\/a> made for his brothers.
\nAnother explanation to this verse is that when the Holy One Blessed be He comes to connect to the children of Israel<\/a>, none of the other nations, stand close to him.
\nThe other nations receive from the light that is revealed by the unification of the Holy and the Shechina but not directly from it. The Israelites<\/a> have special merits and they receive the light directly from YHVH<\/a>.
\nNumbers 29:35<\/a>
\n“בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִי עֲצֶרֶת תִּהְיֶה לָכֶם כָּל מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ”
\n““On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly. You shall not do any ordinary work,”
\nWhen it says, ‘You shall have’ it means that the assembly if for the Israelites<\/a> to be together with God alone.
\nPsalms 122:8<\/a>
\n“לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּךְ”
\n“For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, “May peace be within you.””

\nRabbi Yesa says that at the time of the Redemption, the Holy One Blessed Be He, will come to raise the Shechina from the dust of Malchut<\/a>. He will take revenge from the nations of idol worshiping.
\nIsaiah 63:3<\/a>
\n“פּוּרָה דָּרַכְתִּי לְבַדִּי וּמֵעַמִּים אֵין אִישׁ אִתִּי וְאֶדְרְכֵם בְּאַפִּי וְאֶרְמְסֵם בַּחֲמָתִי וְיֵז נִצְחָם עַל בְּגָדַי וְכָל מַלְבּוּשַׁי אֶגְאָלְתִּי”
\n“I have trodden the wine trough alone, And from the nations there was no man with Me. I also trod them in My anger And trampled them in My wrath; And their lifeblood is sprinkled on My garments, And I stained all My raiment”
\n‘there was no man with Me’ to tell us that God will be alone, without interference from the other-side<\/a>. Then he will raise the Israelites<\/a> higher to a place that no force in the world could harm them.
\nThis is a situation like when Joseph<\/a> revealed himself to his brothers so they can benefit from the unification of Yessod<\/a> and Malchut<\/a>.

\nMicah 4:5<\/a>
\n“כִּי כָּל הָעַמִּים יֵלְכוּ אִישׁ בְּשֵׁם אֱלֹהָיו וַאֲנַחְנוּ נֵלֵךְ בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד”
\n“Though all the peoples walk Each in the name of his god, As for us, we will walk In the name of YHVH<\/a> our God forever and ever.”
\nThe Israelites<\/a>, accepted the Torah and follow it. For that reason they have special relation with YHVH<\/a>. He is with them forever and ever while the other nations of the world walk with their own God. The big difference is that we have ’YHVH<\/a>’ and the aspect of ‘forever and ever’. The other nations are far and don;t have relationship with YHVH<\/a>.
\nPsalms 145:18<\/a>
\n“ קָרוֹב יְהוָה, לְכָל-קֹרְאָיו– לְכֹל אֲשֶׁר יִקְרָאֻהוּ בֶאֱמֶת.”
\n“YHVH<\/a> is close unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.”
\nTruth is the Torah and to stay close to God, we need to study the Torah
