\nBefore the Redemption, the Shechina will ask her husband; where are my sons? And he will answer that they are in a judgment process in exile. She will cry, thinking that her children are lost.
\nJeremiah 31:14<\/a>
\n“כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה קוֹל בְּרָמָה נִשְׁמָע נְהִי בְּכִי תַמְרוּרִים רָחֵל מְבַכָּה עַל בָּנֶיהָ מֵאֲנָה לְהִנָּחֵם עַל בָּנֶיהָ כִּי אֵינֶנּוּ”
\n“Thus says YHVH<\/a>, “A voice is heard in Ramah, Lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; She refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.””
\nAt the end of the Tikun<\/a>, YHVH<\/a> will tell her to restrain herself from crying because she is rewarded for supporting them.
\nJeremiah 31:15<\/a>
\n“כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה מִנְעִי קוֹלֵךְ מִבֶּכִי וְעֵינַיִךְ מִדִּמְעָה כִּי יֵשׁ שָׂכָר לִפְעֻלָּתֵךְ נְאֻם יְהוָה וְשָׁבוּ מֵאֶרֶץ אוֹיֵב”
\n“Thus says YHVH<\/a>, “Restrain your voice from weeping And your eyes from tears; For there is a reward to your work,” declares YHVH<\/a>, “And they returned from the land of the enemy.”
\nHer children redeemed from exile and are back in their Promised Land. The Zohar explains that because God tells this to her at the end of the Tikun<\/a>, the use of “they returned from the land of the enemy” in past tense in the verse is understood.

\nGenesis 48:7<\/a>
\n“וַאֲנִי בְּבֹאִי מִפַּדָּן מֵתָה עָלַי רָחֵל בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן בַּדֶּרֶךְ בְּעוֹד כִּבְרַת אֶרֶץ לָבֹא אֶפְרָתָה וָאֶקְבְּרֶהָ שָּׁם בְּדֶרֶךְ אֶפְרָת הִוא בֵּית לָחֶם”
\n“”Now as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died, to my sorrow, in the land of Canaan on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath; and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).””
\nThis verse is part of the conversation between Joseph<\/a> and Jacob. Why did Jacob mention the death of Rachel when Joseph<\/a> was there and knew about it? The Zohar explains that Jacob mentioned her death to tell us that she was a martyr. In the future redemption process, there will be a war over Israel<\/a> and many will die getting closer to the ‘Promised land’.
\nThe Holy One Blessed Be He will comfort the Shechina to stop crying on the children that died because they will return and back to life at the time of the Resurrection.

\n‘on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath’ is the aspect of those who died before reaching the land of Israel<\/a>. When they come to Israel<\/a> that would be the ‘Promised Land’, there will be no more death.
\nLesson,
\nThe Promised Land is not a simple real estate defined within the borders of Israel<\/a>. It’s a spiritual state of continuous flow of light from Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a> that brings Immortality.
\nEach of us individually can reach his own ‘Promised Land’ when dedicating life to the goal given to us at the time of Creation. We were made by the Endless God from light of immortality. We lost it because of our sins and now we work through many lifetimes to purify our souls and earn merits to be resurrected to immortality when the times comes.
\nWhen we follow the ways of the Torah by doing good (248) and avoiding negativity (365), we are the path to immortality. As we get stronger on this path of righteousness, we lose the fear of death and achieve personal immortality. No matter when or how we die, we already internalized the immortal state in our soul and earned the Resurrection by our actions and consciousness.
\nThe pains and difficulties that we may experience during our temporary lifetimes are just opportunities to strengthen the faith<\/a> and build certainty toward immortality.
\nWe can definitely enjoy life while on this path but should never lose the focus on the target that is spelled ‘Immortality’.
\nThe Zohar draws the light of Chokmah<\/a> and Binah<\/a>. Keep study it to cleansed your vessel and ready it for the day of Endless light.
