71. וּכְשֶׁקָּם הַנָּחָשׁ הַזֶּה, אָז מַה כָּתוּב? (ישעיה נו) וְהָרַג אֶת הַתַּנִּין אֲשֶׁר בַּיָּם. זֶהוּ הַתַּנִּין הַגָּדוֹל. וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב הִנְנִי עָלֶיךָ. וְנָחָשׁ זֶה הוּא מְאֹרֹת, בִּקְלָלוֹת לַכֹּל, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהוּא חָזָק עָלָיו בְּחָזְקוֹ שֶׁל אוֹתוֹ הַנָּהָר הַגָּדוֹל שֶׁנִּקְרָא חִדֶּקֶל, וַהֲרֵי בֵּאַרְנוּ.
\n72. אוֹתוֹ הַנָּחָשׁ שֶׁבַּיַּבָּשָׁה, כְּשֶׁיּוֹצְאִים (לְהִלָּחֵם) זֶה בָּזֶה, אוֹתוֹ שֶׁבַּיַּבָּשָׁה תָּמִיד מִתְגַּבֵּר, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁכָּל דַּרְכּוֹ וְחָזְקוֹ הוּא בַּיַּבָּשָׁה, וְאוֹכֵל אֶרֶץ וְעָפָר תָּמִיד, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר וְעָפָר תֹּאכַל כָּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ. זֶה גָּדֵל בֶּעָפָר, וְזֶה גָּדֵל בַּמַּיִם. נָחָשׁ שֶׁהִתְגַּדֵּל בְּמַיִם לֹא חָזָק כְּזֶה שֶׁהִתְגַּדֵּל בַּיַּבָּשָׁה, וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב מְאֹרֹת חָסֵר.
\n73. וְזֶה הִזְדַּמֵּן לְאוֹתוֹ שֶׁל הַמַּיִם. וְאַף עַל גַּב [וְזֶה לֹא] שֶׁהִזְדַּמֵּן אֵלָיו, לֹא נִלְחַם בּוֹ, אֶלָּא הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְבַדּוֹ שֶׁהָרַג אוֹתוֹ מִתּוֹךְ הַיָּם, כְּמוֹ שֶׁבֵּאַרְנוּ שֶׁבִּגְלַל גַּסּוּת הָרוּחַ שֶׁבּוֹ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (יחזקאל כט) אֲשֶׁר אָמַר לִי יְאֹרִי וְגוֹ’.\n<\/div>\n

\nThere are two types of snakes, one on the land that is stronger than the other one that is in the water.
\nEzekiel 29:3<\/a>
\n“דַּבֵּר וְאָמַרְתָּ כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה הִנְנִי עָלֶיךָ פַּרְעֹה מֶלֶךְ מִצְרַיִם הַתַּנִּים הַגָּדוֹל הָרֹבֵץ בְּתוֹךְ יְאֹרָיו אֲשֶׁר אָמַר לִי יְאֹרִי וַאֲנִי עֲשִׂיתִנִי”
\n“”Speak and say, ‘Thus says the Lord YHVH<\/a>, “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great sea monster that lies in the midst of his rivers, That has said, ‘My Nile is mine, and I myself have made it.’”

\nWhen the two snakes go into fight, the snake<\/a> of the land always overcome the snake<\/a> of the water. The land’s snake<\/a> gets his powers from the land that nourishes him and give him strength and Judgment. He has powers that comes from barrier at the bottom of the central column (מסך<\/a> דחיריק) that is between Malchut<\/a> and Zeir Anpin<\/a>. Because this point separates Light (Zeir Anpin<\/a>) and death (Malchut<\/a>), the Snake<\/a> has the power to kill all livings.

\nEven though the Snake<\/a> of the land was suppose to fight the serpent of the sea, he doesn’t do it. The Holy One Blessed be He took away the powers of the sea serpent because of his rude and arrogant expression;“’My Nile is mine, and I myself have made it.’”.
\nThe sea serpent that was aspect of the Left reinstated but weaker and under the control of the right column<\/a>.
\nIsaiah 27:1<\/a>
\n“בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יִפְקֹד יְהוָה בְּחַרְבוֹ הַקָּשָׁה וְהַגְּדוֹלָה וְהַחֲזָקָה עַל לִוְיָתָן נָחָשׁ בָּרִחַ וְעַל לִוְיָתָן נָחָשׁ עֲקַלָּתוֹן וְהָרַג אֶתהַתַּנִּין אֲשֶׁר בַּיָּם”
\n“In that day YHVH<\/a> will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the serpent that is in the sea”
\nLesson;
\nPharaoh is the aspect of the Left, the Snake<\/a>. He didn’t recognize or accept YHVH<\/a> because he saw himself as god on earth. God took his powers away through the process of the ten plagues reducing his ego to nothing.
\nThe sages say that God didn’t let Pharaoh die in the sea so he can tell the stories about the miracles God made.
\nArrogance behavior is opposite the ways of God that all his work in this world is done without us seeing him. He also use different ‘messengers’ that serve him and deliver good to people. Arrogant person creates a curtain of ‘death’ around himself because he disconnects from the Light. Sooner or later he will fall.
\nWhen we get ‘hit’ with some kind of pain, we should review our actions to find where did we go against the ways of God. The next hit could be worse that the previous one because we create a greater distance from the Light. We can save ourselves a lot of pain when we become humble and correct our ways.
