77. בַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁי הוֹצִיא אֶרֶץ מִתּוֹךְ הַיָּם וְכִנֵּס אֶת הַמַּיִם, וְעָשָׂה מֵאוֹתוֹ קִבּוּץ שֶׁהִתְכַּנְּסוּ לְמָקוֹם אֶחָד אֶת הַיָּם, וְהִתְנָה עִם הַיָּם לְהַעֲבִיר אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּתוֹכוֹ בַּיַּבָּשָׁה וּלְהַטְבִּיעַ אֶת הַמִּצְרִים, וְכָךְ הָיָה, שֶׁכָּתוּב (שמות יד) וַיָּשָׁב הַיָּם לִפְנוֹת בֹּקֶר לְאֵיתָנוֹ. אַל תִּקְרֵי לְאֵיתָנוֹ אֶלָּא לִתְנָאוֹ, לְמַה שֶּׁהִתְנָה עִמּוֹ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא בְּמַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית. עוֹד הִתְנָה עִם הָאָרֶץ, שֶׁתִּפְתַּח אֶת פִּיהָ בְּמַחֲלֻקְתּוֹ שֶׁל קֹרַח וְתִבְלַע אֶת קֹרַח וְאֶת כָּל עֲדָתוֹ, וְכָךְ הָיָה, שֶׁכָּתוּב (במדבר טז) וַתִּפְתַּח הָאָרֶץ אֶת פִּיהָ וַתִּבְלַע אֹתָם, וְאֶת קֹרַח.

\n“וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים, יִקָּווּ הַמַּיִם מִתַּחַת הַשָּׁמַיִם אֶל-מָקוֹם אֶחָד, וְתֵרָאֶה, הַיַּבָּשָׁה; וַיְהִי-כֵן”
\n“Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.”
\nOn the third day, God gathered the waters below the heavens and revealed the dry land. God conditioned the waters to split and let the Israelites<\/a> pass through. Also, to drown the Egyptians when they follow the Israelites<\/a> to the Sea of Reed.
\nExodus 14:27<\/a>
\n“וַיֵּט מֹשֶׁה אֶת-יָדוֹ עַל-הַיָּם, וַיָּשָׁב הַיָּם לִפְנוֹת בֹּקֶר לְאֵיתָנוֹ, וּמִצְרַיִם, נָסִים לִקְרָאתוֹ; וַיְנַעֵר יְהוָה אֶת-מִצְרַיִם, בְּתוֹךְ הַיָּם”
\n“So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal state at daybreak, while the Egyptians were fleeing right into it; then YHVH<\/a> overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.”
\nThe Zohar explains that ‘the sea returned to its normal state’ means that the followed the conditions that God set at the time of Creation and then returned to normal state. The Hebrew words for ‘normal state’ and ‘its conditions’ have the same letters to reveal the secret of why the water changed its nature.
\nNumbers 16:32<\/a>
\n“וַתִּפְתַּח הָאָרֶץ אֶת פִּיהָ וַתִּבְלַע אֹתָם וְאֶת בָּתֵּיהֶם וְאֵת כָּל הָאָדָם אֲשֶׁר לְקֹרַח וְאֵת כָּל הָרֲכוּשׁ”
\n“and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and their households, and all the men who belonged to Korah with their possessions.”
\nThe earth was conditioned to swallow Korach and his people after they rebelled against the leadership of Moses.

\n“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and seasons and days and years;”
\nOn the fourth day, God created the sun and the moon. He stipulated with the sun that during the days of Joshua to stand still in mid-heavens.

\n“וַיִּדֹּם הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ וְיָרֵחַ עָמָד עַד יִקֹּם גּוֹי אֹיְבָיו הֲלֹא הִיא כְתוּבָה עַל סֵפֶר הַיָּשָׁר וַיַּעֲמֹד הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ בַּחֲצִי הַשָּׁמַיִם וְלֹא אָץ לָבוֹא כְּיוֹם תָּמִים.”
\n“So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies. Is it not written in the book of Jashar? And the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.”
\nGod stipulated with the stars to fight against Sisera.
\nJudges 5:20<\/a>
\n“מִן שָׁמַיִם נִלְחָמוּ הַכּוֹכָבִים מִמְּסִלּוֹתָם נִלְחֲמוּ עִם סִיסְרָא.”
\n“The stars fought from heaven, From their courses they fought against Sisera.”
\nLesson;
\nFrom the previous study, this one and the following few Zohar paragraphs we see that God have answers to all possibilities. Nature can be controlled because God created the openings for that. Great Tzadikim knew how to command nature, change the direction of a river’s flow, bring rain on a dry day, and even resurrect a dead to life.
\nThe light of the Endless gives us endless choices during our lifetimes. If we connect to the Endless, we can get closer to the ability to controlling and changing the ways of nature, creating miracles in our lives. Even if we are far from such strength, we should be on that path. If we change our nature, nature and the world around us will change for us.
