43. רַבִּי חִזְקִיָּה פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (תהלים יז) שִׁמְעָה ה’ צֶדֶק וְגוֹ’. כַּמָּה חֲבִיבָה כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, שֶׁבְּכָל זְמַן שֶׁכְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּאָה לִפְנֵי הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא, הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מִזְדַּמֵּן כְּנֶגְדָּהּ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב שִׁמְעָה ה’ צֶדֶק הַקְשִׁיבָה רִנָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה תְפִלָּתִי. אָמַר דָּוִד, אֲנִי הִתְקַשַּׁרְתִּי עִם כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, כְּמוֹ שֶׁהִיא נִמְצֵאת לְפָנֶיךָ, גַּם אֲנִי כָּךְ נִמְצָא. וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ, שִׁמְעָה ה’ צֶדֶק – בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה, וְאַחַר כָּךְ – הַקְשִׁיבָה רִנָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה תְפִלָּתִי.

\nPsalms 17:1<\/a>
\n“תְּפִלָּה לְדָוִד שִׁמְעָה יְהוָה צֶדֶק הַקְשִׁיבָה רִנָּתִי הַאֲזִינָה תְפִלָּתִי בְּלֹא שִׂפְתֵי מִרְמָֽה”
\n“A Prayer of David. Hear the justness, O YHVH<\/a>, give heed to my singing; Give ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.”
\nRabbi Chizkiya quotes this verse and teaches us that the Congregation of Israel<\/a>, is another name of the Shechina when she is with the Israelites<\/a>. The Holy One Blessed be He loves her and ready for her when she comes to him.
\n‘Justness’ is Malchut<\/a> and ‘Justice’ is Zeir Anpin<\/a>. King David asks God to hear his prayers because he is with the Shechina in ‘justness’ and when she is in front of him, so are his singing and prayers.

\nKing David presented his prayers ‘which is not from deceitful lips’. He knew that the words of the prayers that we utter create forces that break through the spiritual levels, reaching the upper gates and come in front of the Holy One Blessed be He. If the words of our prayers create pure forces they come in front of the Holy King that does his will with them. If the words are not pure, they are left outside the gates, attracting the other-side<\/a>.
\nLesson;
\nWe pray with open hearts as if we stand in front of our Holy King. He created our hearts and mind and know them. God doesn’t read our minds, he knows them and ‘knowing’ as we learned is a connection. All we need to have our prayers be heard and possibly answered is, to be honest, and pure. From our side, we need to come with love\/Devekut that is ‘knowing’ God. When we reach this level of love and ‘knowledge’ we have an affinity with him and the light flows to us automatically.
\n‘Fake’ and selfish prayers are far from the aspect of ‘knowing’ and they are rejected, left outside the gates, exposed to the other-side<\/a>.
\nThese prayers wait for us to be pushed in with a pure prayer that opens the gates, allowing our previous prayers to join under the ‘umbrella’ of the pure prayer.
