61. אָמַר רַבִּי יוֹסֵי, וְלֹא אָמַרְתִּי לְךָ שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא רוֹצֶה לְהַרְחִישׁ לוֹ נֵס, וְלֹא תוֹצִיא זְכוּתוֹ מִמֶּנּוּ? בֵּין כָּךְ הִתְעוֹרֵר אוֹתוֹ הָאִישׁ, וְקָם וְהָלַךְ לוֹ. אָחֲזוּ בּוֹ רַבִּי חִיָּיא וְרַבִּי יוֹסֵי, וְנָתְנוּ לוֹ לֶאֱכֹל. אַחַר שֶׁאָכַל, הֶרְאוּ לוֹ הַנֵּס שֶׁהִרְחִישׁ לוֹ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא.
\n62. פָּתַח רַבִּי יוֹסֵי וְאָמַר, (תהלים לז) בְּטַח בַּה’ וַעֲשֵׂה טוֹב שְׁכָן אֶרֶץ וּרְעֵה אֱמוּנָה. אַשְׁרֵי חֶלְקוֹ שֶׁל הָאִישׁ שֶׁעוֹשֶׂה טוֹב מִשֶּׁלּוֹ, שֶׁהֲרֵי מְעוֹרֵר טוֹב עִם כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, וּבַמֶּה? בִּצְדָקָה. שֶׁכְּשֶׁצְּדָקָה מִתְעוֹרֶרֶת, הוּא טוֹב, אָז מִתְעוֹרֵר אֶל כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְעַל זֶה כָּתוּב (משלי י) וּצְדָקָה תַּצִּיל מִמָּוֶת. מָה הַטַּעַם? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁצְּדָקָה הִיא עֵץ הַחַיִּים, וּמִתְעוֹרֶרֶת עַל אוֹתוֹ עֵץ הַמָּוֶת, וְלוֹקֵחַ אוֹתָם שֶׁאֲחוּזִים בּוֹ וּמַצִּילָם מֵהַמָּוֶת. מִי גָרַם לְאוֹתוֹ עֵץ חַיִּים שֶׁיִּתְעוֹרֵר לָזֶה? הֱוֵה אוֹמֵר, אוֹתָהּ צְדָקָה שֶׁהוּא עוֹשֶׂה, כִּבְיָכוֹל הוּא עָשָׂה אוֹתוֹ לְמַעְלָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (תהלים קו) עֹשֵׂה צְדָקָה צְדָקָה בְכָל עֵת. וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר.<\/div>\n

\nRabbi Yosei said to his friend; ‘As I told you, the Holy One Blessed be He wanted to make a miracle for the good man, and it was better than you didn’t give him food. While they were discussing the sight in front of them, they saw that man waking up from his sleep and started walking away. Rabbi Chiya and Rabbi Yosei stopped him, gave him food and told him about the miracle that God made for him.

\nPsalms 37:3<\/a>
\n“בְּטַח בַּיהוָה וַעֲשֵׂה טוֹב שְׁכָן אֶרֶץ וּרְעֵה אֱמוּנָה.”
\n“Trust in YHVH<\/a> and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.”
\nRabbi Yosei quoted this verse and praised the people who do good with their energy because they awaken the sefira of Yesod<\/a> to connect with Malchut<\/a>. This connection is the aspect of Tzedaka that unites us in Malchut<\/a> to Yesod<\/a> and the Tree of Life<\/a>.
\nProverbs 10:2<\/a>
\n“לֹא יוֹעִילוּ אוֹצְרוֹת רֶשַׁע וּצְדָקָה תַּצִּיל מִמָּוֶת.”
\n“Ill-gotten treasures do not profit, But righteousness (Tzedaka, צְדָקָה) delivers from death.”
\nThe most precious thing for us is Life and having real treasures without righteousness, Tzedakah does not benefit us. Only Tzedaka that is the aspect of all types of connections to Yesod<\/a> and the Tree of Life<\/a> that bring us the true promise of Life.
\nPsalms 106:3<\/a>
\n“אַשְׁרֵי שֹׁמְרֵי מִשְׁפָּט עֹשֵׂה צְדָקָה בְכָל עֵת.”
\n“How blessed are those who keep justice (Center Column<\/a>), Who practice righteousness (Tzedaka, צְדָקָה) at all times!”

\nProverbs 3:18<\/a>
\n“עֵץ חַיִּים הִיא לַמַּחֲזִיקִים בָּהּ וְתֹמְכֶיהָ מְאֻשָּׁר”
\n“She (The Torah) is a tree of life<\/a> to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who support her.”
\nThe Torah is Zeir Anpin<\/a>, and we connect to it every week to draw the life force from Binah<\/a> into our lives. Our Daily Zohar studies provide daily connections to the Tree of Life<\/a> because the Zohar reveals the light from every ‘leaf’ on the Tree.
\nStudying is an aspect of Tzedaka on a spiritual level and is essential for us.
\nWe are supporting channels of light with our money help in revealing the light of the Tree of Life<\/a>. Our tithe activates teh aspect of Tzedaka, connect us to the Tree of Life<\/a>. We study every day and give every week to have a proper vessel for the light of teh Tree of Life<\/a> that is revealed every Shabbat.
\nThe best advice is to divide the monthly giving\/tithe into weekly parts. We give to those that support us spiritually and reveal light in the world. Giving every week to a different source of light is okay.
\nMaking a weekly routine to give money to Tzedaka even if it is a small amount, keep the flow of light continuously in our lives as the verse above says; “How blessed are those who keep justice (Center Column<\/a>, Tree of Life<\/a>), Who practice righteousness (Tzedaka, צְדָקָה) at all times!”
