124. אוֹי לְמִי שֶׁמְּשַׁקֵּר בָּרֹשֶׁם הַקָּדוֹשׁ, שֶׁהֲרֵי מְשַׁקֵּר בַּשֵּׁם הָעֶלְיוֹן, וְלֹא עוֹד, אֶלָּא שֶׁגּוֹרֵם לַבְּאֵר הַזֹּאת שֶׁלֹּא תִתְבָּרֵךְ, וְקוֹרְאִים עָלָיו (דברים כב) כִּי הוֹצִיא שֵׁם רָע עַל בְּתוּלַת יִשְׂרָאֵל. בְּתוּלַת יִשְׂרָאֵל דַּוְקָא. וּבֵאֲרוֹ רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן בִּמְקוֹמוֹ, מִי שֶׁשָּׂם עֲלִילוֹת דְּבָרִים עַל אִשְׁתּוֹ הָרִאשׁוֹנָה וּמוֹצִיא עָלֶיהָ שֵׁם רַע – כְּמוֹ שֶׁהוֹצִיא לְמַעְלָה, שֶׁכָּתוּב כִּי הוֹצִיא שֵׁם רָע עַל בְּתוּלַת יִשְׂרָאֵל סְתָם.

\nZohar Vaetchanan<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nWoe to those who lie with the Holy mark, which is Yessod<\/a>. He lies to the Holy name and blocks the blessings from coming to Malchut<\/a>. This person is treated as if he spoke evil speech on the virgin of Israel<\/a> that is Malchut<\/a>.
\nMalchut<\/a> is called Virgin of Israel<\/a> because without the Light she goes back to ‘virginity’ that is a vessel without the experience of Light. Rabbi Shimon teaches that if a person speaks negative about his first wife is like he brings out negative from above to the Virgin of Israel<\/a> that is Malchut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Chiya quotes Rabbi Yossi, saying that a virgin inherits seven blessings from the seven sefirot that deliver light to Malchut<\/a> and for that reason she is called ‘בת שבע’ ‘Bat Sheva’, that means daughter of Seven’.<\/p>\n

\nThe Zohar asks where would the blessings come for a woman that was a widow or divorced, and answers that the blessings would come from the same place that Boaz and Ruth received it when they got married. <\/p>\n

Ruth 4:11<\/a>
\n“וַיֹּאמְרוּ כָּל הָעָם אֲשֶׁר בַּשַּׁעַר וְהַזְּקֵנִים עֵדִים יִתֵּן יְהוָה אֶת הָאִשָּׁה הַבָּאָה אֶל בֵּיתֶךָ כְּרָחֵל וּכְלֵאָה אֲשֶׁר בָּנוּ שְׁתֵּיהֶם אֶת בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וַעֲשֵׂה חַיִל בְּאֶפְרָתָה וּקְרָא שֵׁם בְּבֵית לָחֶם.”
\n“All the people who were in the court, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May YHVH<\/a> make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, both of whom built the house of Israel<\/a>; and may you achieve wealth in Ephrathah and become famous in Bethlehem.”<\/p>\n

Rachel and Leah were the wives of Jacob, who is Israel<\/a>. From him came the 12 tribes of Israel<\/a>. Ruth was blessed to be like Rachel and Leah and build ‘the house of Israel<\/a>’. The blessing of the people and the elders to Ruth and Boaz brought about the house of King David that is Malchut<\/a> and the root for the kingdom of Mashiach.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nThe Sefira of Yessod<\/a> is where the Life force flows into this world. It should be treated as sacred because it’s the energy that builds the ‘house’, which is the vessel that holds our blessings.
\nAs we learned before, the point of Yessod<\/a> in our bodies should always be in a pure state.
\nWe connect to Yessod<\/a> and draw light with our prayers, studies and giving Tzedakah.
\nWe just entered the month of Elul that is the aspect of Yessod<\/a> (The sixth month from Nissan). The gate is open this month and the Light flows easily into the world. This access to the Light of Yessod<\/a> supports our connection and help us purify ourselves. Beginning with Rosh Chodesh<\/a> we work to cleanse ourselves in preparation for the judgment day on Rosh Hashanah that is when we are judged and receive a new life for the coming year.<\/p>\n
