136. וְאָהַבְתָּ אֵת ה’ אֱלֹהֶיךָ. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי פָּתַח, (שם נב) וְעַתָּה מַה לִּי פֹה נְאֻם ה’ כִּי לֻקַּח עַמִּי חִנָּם וְגוֹ’. בֹּא וּרְאֵה אַהֲבַת הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְיִשְׂרָאֵל, אַף עַל גַּב שֶׁחֲטָאֵיהֶם גָּרְמוּ לְהִסְתַּלֵּק מִבֵּינֵיהֶם וְהִתְפַּזְּרוּ בֵּין הָעַמִּים, הוּא תּוֹבֵעַ אֶת עֶלְבּוֹנָם. וּבֹא וּרְאֵה, בְּשָׁעָה שֶׁיִּשְׂרָאֵל שְׁרוּיִים בְּאַרְצָם, הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מִשְׁתַּעֲשֵׁעַ בְּגַנּוֹ וּמִתְקָרֵב לְיִשְׂרָאֵל, וְשׁוֹמֵעַ קוֹלָם וּמִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ בָּהֶם.

\nRabbi Yossi says that our sins caused the Holy One Blessed be He to spread us all over the world, without direct connection him. Because of his love to us, he still protects us and doesn’t let the other nations to hurt us.
\nWhen the Israelites<\/a> dwell in their land that is Malchut<\/a> and the ‘Garden’, the Holy One Blessed be He is closer, listen to them and praise them. <\/p>\n

Deuteronomy 6:5<\/a>
\n“וְאָהַבְתָּ אֵת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכָל לְבָבְךָ וּבְכָל נַפְשְׁךָ וּבְכָל מְאֹדֶךָ.”
\n“You shall love YHVH<\/a> your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”<\/p>\n

\nBecause of their sins and the exile from the Holy Land, the Holy One Blessed be He doesn’t enter his ‘Garden’ to have a good time with his people. He is upset and screams;
\nIsaiah 52:5<\/a>
\n“וְעַתָּה מי לי [מַה לִּי] פֹה נְאֻם יְהוָה כִּי לֻקַּח עַמִּי חִנָּם משלו [מֹשְׁלָיו] יְהֵילִילוּ נְאֻם יְהוָה וְתָמִיד כָּל הַיּוֹם שְׁמִי מִנֹּאָץ.”
\n“Now, therefore, what do I have here,” declares YHVH<\/a>, “seeing that My people have been taken away without cause?” Again YHVH<\/a> declares, “Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.”<\/p>\n

Psalms 132:14<\/a>
\n“זֹאת מְנוּחָתִי עֲדֵי עַד פֹּה אֵשֵׁב כִּי אִוִּתִיהָ.”
\n“This is My resting place forever and ever; here I will dwell, for I have desired her.”<\/p>\n

The Holy One Blessed be He wishes to have a ‘rest’ in the ‘Garden’ Malchut<\/a> because this is where the Shechina dwells and he ‘desires her’<\/p>\n
