27. אֶלָּא כָּאן יֵשׁ לְהִסְתַּכֵּל, שָׁם שִׁיר, וְכָאן שִׁירָה. זֶה זָכָר, וְזוֹ נְקֵבָה. וַהֲרֵי שָׁנִינוּ, כָּל הַנְּבִיאִים כֻּלָּם לְגַבֵּי מֹשֶׁה כְּמוֹ קוֹף בְּעֵינֵי בְּנֵי אָדָם, וְהֵם אָמְרוּ שִׁיר, וּמֹשֶׁה אָמַר שִׁירָה. \n28. אָמַר לוֹ רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, לֹא כָּךְ, אֶלָּא מֹשֶׁה וַדַּאי נוֹדַע מִכָּאן שֶׁהוּא בְּדַרְגָּה יוֹתֵר עֶלְיוֹנָה מֵהַכֹּל. מֹשֶׁה עָלָה מִלְּמַטָּה לְמַעְלָה, וְהֵם יָרְדוּ מִלְמַעְלָה לְמַטָּה. הוּא עָלָה מִלְּמַטָּה לְמַעְלָה, כְּמוֹ שֶׁשָּׁנִינוּ, מַעֲלִין בַּקֹּדֶשׁ וְאֵין מוֹרִידִין. מֹשֶׁה עָלָה מִלְּמַטָּה לְמַעְלָה, שֶׁאָמַר שִׁירָה, תִּשְׁבַּחַת הַמַּלְכָּה שֶׁהִיא מְשַׁבַּחַת לַמֶּלֶךְ. וּמֹשֶׁה נֶאֱחַז בַּכֹּל (בַּמֶּלֶךְ). וְהֵם יָרְדוּ מִלְמַעְלָה לְמַטָּה, שֶׁאָמְרוּ שִׁיר, שֶׁהוּא שֶׁבַח שֶׁמְּשַׁבֵּחַ הַמֶּלֶךְ אֶת הַמַּלְכָּה, וְהֵם נֶאֶחְזוּ בַמַּלְכָּה. וְעַל זֶה בָּזֶה נוֹדַע שִׁבְחוֹ שֶׁל מֹשֶׁה יוֹתֵר מִכֻּלָּם. וְהַיְנוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב, (שמות טו) אָז יָשִׁיר מֹשֶׁה וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת לַה’. שִׁיר הַמַּלְכָּה. לְמִי? לַה’. וְלָכֵן וַיִּכְתֹּב מֹשֶׁה אֶת דִּבְרֵי הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת, וְעָנְתָה הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת.<\/div>\n

\nThere are two forms for a song, “שיר” for male aspect, Zeir Anpin<\/a> and “שירה” for female aspect, Malchut<\/a>. All the prophets that were much below Moses were saying “שיר”. Moses was saying “שירה”. It was more proper for Moses to say “שיר” to represent his connection to Zeir Anpin<\/a> and Rabbi Aba explains that the secret behind this is that Moses didn’t say it to himself but for all Israel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Shimon says that this is not the explanation and add that Moses was on a level that was above all. He went up from below and the prophets came down from above.
\nThe direction of holiness is always up, never down. Moses starts with “The Song” “שירה” in Malchut<\/a>, praising the queen, climbing to higher levels of holiness for unification with the King. The “Song” “שיר” of the other prophets were from Zeir Anpin<\/a> going down to Malchut<\/a>. For that reason, Moses was above all and his “Song” “שירה” would be sung in the future (Exodus 15:1<\/a>) “אָז יָשִׁיר מֹשֶׁה וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת לַיהוָה” “Then Moses and the Israelites<\/a> will sing the song (שירה) to YHVH<\/a>:”

\nDeuteronomy 31:21<\/a> “ וְעָנְתָה הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת לְפָנָיו לְעֵד” “the song (שירה) will testify before them as a witness”<\/p>\n
