80. וְאִם תֹּאמַר, מִי נָתַן כָּאן מַשְׁחִית, שֶׁהֲרֵי מַיִם הָיוּ וְהִתְגַּבְּרוּ?. בֹּא רְאֵה, אֵין לְךָ דִּין בָּעוֹלָם אוֹ כְּשֶׁמֻּכֶּה אוֹ כְּשֶׁנִּמְסָר הָעוֹלָם בְּדִין, שֶׁלֹּא נִמְצָא אוֹתוֹ הַמַּשְׁחִית שֶׁהוֹלֵךְ בְּתוֹךְ אוֹתָם הַדִּינִים שֶׁנַּעֲשִׂים בָּעוֹלָם. גַּם כָּאן בַּמַּבּוּל כָּךְ הָיָה, וְהַמַּשְׁחִית הוֹלֵךְ בְּתוֹךְ הַמַּבּוּל. וְהוּא נִקְרָא כָּךְ, שֶׁנִּכְלָל בַּשֵּׁם הַזֶּה. וְעַל זֶה אָמַר הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא לְנֹחַ לִשְׁמֹר עַצְמוֹ וְלֹא יִתְרָאֶה בָּעוֹלָם.
\n81. וְאִם תֹּאמַר, הֲרֵי הַתֵּבָה הַזּוֹ נִרְאֵית בְּתוֹךְ הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וְהַמַּשְׁחִית הוֹלֵךְ בְּתוֹכוֹ? כָּל זְמַן שֶׁלֹּא נִרְאִים פְּנֵי אָדָם לִפְנֵי הַמַּשְׁחִית, לֹא יָכוֹל לִשְׁלֹט עָלָיו. מִנַּיִן לָנוּ? מִמִּצְרַיִם, שֶׁכָּתוּב (שמות יב) וְאַתֶּם לֹא תֵצְאוּ אִישׁ מִפֶּתַח בֵּיתוֹ עַד בֹּקֶר. מָה הַטַּעַם? מִשּׁוּם שֶׁהוּא נִמְצָא וְהוּא יָכוֹל לְהַשְׁחִית, וְלֹא צָרִיךְ לְהִתְרָאוֹת לְפָנָיו. לָכֵן הָיָה גָנוּז נֹחַ וְכָל אֵלּוּ שֶׁעִמּוֹ בְּתוֹךְ הַתֵּבָה, וְהַמַּשְׁחִית לֹא יָכֹל לִשְׁלֹט עֲלֵיהֶם.<\/div>\n

\nZohar Noah<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe Zohar asks where is the ‘destroyer’ that God sent when we read that the water has risen. The explanation is that the executioner of the judgment is part of the judgment. The destroyer of the world was within the water to execute the judgment. Noah’s Ark was made for his protection to float above the water, away from the judgment and hide from the destroyer.<\/p>\n

\nThe destroyer can see the Ark but can’t hurt those insides as long as he can’t see their faces. We learn that from Exodus 12:22<\/a>
\n“וּלְקַחְתֶּם אֲגֻדַּת אֵזוֹב וּטְבַלְתֶּם בַּדָּם אֲשֶׁר בַּסַּף וְהִגַּעְתֶּם אֶל הַמַּשְׁקוֹף וְאֶל שְׁתֵּי הַמְּזוּזֹת מִן הַדָּם אֲשֶׁר בַּסָּף וְאַתֶּם לֹא תֵצְאוּ אִישׁ מִפֶּתַח בֵּיתוֹ עַד בֹּקֶר.”
\n“You shall take a bunch of hyssops and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts, and none of you shall go outside the door of his house until morning.”<\/p>\n

God’s instruction was clear “none of you shall go outside the door of his house until morning”. While the killing of the firstborn was going in Egypt, the Israelites<\/a> were protected in their houses.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nWater has the aspect of Chassadim<\/a> and power of cleansing. The inclusion of the ‘destroyer’ in the water transformed the water to a tool that caused death to the generation of Noah for their negativity.<\/p>\n

Everything around us can be used by the executioner as a tool to carry judgment. The corner of the bed can ‘invite’ one’s foot to inflict pain. The hammer that we use to fix something at home may ‘miss’ the target and cause pain. A nice shave of face or legs may change the direction of the blade and cause bleeding. One may eat a gourmet fish, but a tiny fishbone stuck in his throat.<\/p>\n

To protect ourselves from forces of judgments to get included in our environment we inject positive consciousness in the action. We give thanks to God and bless the food we eat. When we use tools, we meditate on the positive outcome of our actions. Our daily studies are the best protection, but it would be better to get into the habit of doing everything with positive consciousness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
