73. בָּא הָאָדָם לְהִטָּמֵא – כַּמָּה חֲבִילוֹת שֶׁל אוֹרוֹת מִזְדַּמְּנִים לוֹ, וְכֻלָּם [סוֹבְבִים] שׁוֹרִים בּוֹ וּמְסוֹבְבִים אוֹתוֹ וּמְטַמְּאִים אוֹתוֹ, וְנִקְרָא טָמֵא. וְכֻלָּם הוֹלְכִים וּמַכְרִיזִים לְפָנָיו טָמֵא טָמֵא, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (ויקרא יג) וְטָמֵא טָמֵא יִקְרָא. וְכֻלָּם קְשׁוּרִים בְּאוֹתוֹ הַנָּחָשׁ הַקַּדְמוֹנִי וְנִסְתָּרִים בְּכַמָּה מַעֲשִׂים שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם.
\n74. רַבִּי יִצְחָק וְרַבִּי יוֹסֵי הָיוּ הוֹלְכִים מִטְּבֶרְיָא לְלוֹד. אָמַר רַבִּי יִצְחָק, תְּמֵהַנִי עַל אוֹתוֹ בִּלְעָם הָרָשָׁע, שֶׁכָּל מַעֲשֵׂי אוֹתוֹ הָרָשָׁע הָיוּ מִצַּד הַטֻּמְאָה, וְכָאן לָמַדְנוּ סוֹד אֶחָד – שֶׁכָּל מִינֵי נְחָשִׁים שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם, כֻּלָּם קְשׁוּרִים וְיוֹצְאִים מֵאוֹתוֹ הַנָּחָשׁ הַקַּדְמוֹנִי, שֶׁהוּא רוּחַ טֻמְאָה מְזֹהֶמֶת. וּמִשּׁוּם כָּךְ כָּל הַכְּשָׁפִים שֶׁל הָעוֹלָם נִקְרָאִים בַּשֵּׁם הַזֶּה נְחָשִׁים [וְעַקְרַבִּים], וְכֻלָּם יוֹצְאִים מִן הַצַּד הַזֶּה. וּמִי שֶׁנִּמְשָׁךְ לָזֶה, הִנֵּה הוּא נִטְמָא.\n<\/div>\n

\nWhen a person wishes to connect to impurity, the Klipot<\/a> for his impure actions come and surround him and inflict the impurity on him. They walk in front of him and announce ‘Defiled, unclean’ as it says in Leviticus 13:45<\/a> “וְטָמֵא טָמֵא יִקְרָא”, “and cry out, ’Unclean, unclean!’”<\/p>\n

\nRabbi Yitzchak and Rabbi Yossei were walking from Tiberia to Lod. Rabbi Yitzchak said Balaam was wicked and all his actions were from the impure side. We learn that all kinds of magic and witchcraft in the world come from the primordial Snake<\/a>. He is the force of impurity in the world and all witchcraft are called after his name. Because of that those who follow witchcraft become impure.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nSnake<\/a> is ‘נחש’ in Hebrew and witchcraft is ‘נחשים’. Those who ‘play’ with witchcraft connects to the ‘Snake<\/a>’ and its impurity and wickedness.<\/p>\n
