\nIf a person wishes to make witchcraft, he needs to get into impure state, connect to the other-side<\/a> and draw impure spirit.
\nThe desire of a person draws upon him the light that matches his desire\/vessel. If the desire is pure then he receives from the holy system, if he wishes to be impure, he draws from the forces of the impure system.
\nTalmud: Yoma 38b:16
\nReish Lakish said: What is the meaning of that which is written: “If it concerns the scorners, He scorns them, but to the humble, He gives grace” (Proverbs 3:34<\/a>)? If one comes to impurify, they open before him the opportunity to exercise his free will and do as he pleases. If one comes to purify, they assist him.<\/p>\n

\nBalaam made himself unclean every night by having sex with his jenny (female donkey) and draw the impure spirit to himself to be able to make his witchcrafts.<\/p>\n

\nTo begin with his witchcraft, Balaam used to take a snake<\/a>, tie him in front of him, split his head and pulled his tongue. He burnt it with special herbs and made a ‘Ketoret<\/a>’, incense that is smoke that connects to spiritual levels. Then he took the head of the snake<\/a> and split it to four sides and made another Ketoret<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lesson;
\nKetoret<\/a> in Aramaic means ‘a link’, ‘a knot’. The smoke of the Ketoret<\/a> is a representation of the transformation of matter to air. The lower phase of it is a visible smoke and it ascends and spread in the invisible form of fumes that connect to spiritual levels.
\nAfter Shabbat, we make a blessing over Myrtle, special herbs or perfume with pleasant odors. We do that to please the extra soul that we received during Shabbat and keep more of it with us before it leaves.
\nThe Ketoret<\/a> in the Holy Temple had the energy of removing death. Its smoke was going up in a straight column to heavens even on a windy day. That was a miracle to show the people the direct connection between the Holy Temple and the upper levels.<\/p>\n
