126. מִכָּאן וָהָלְאָה, חֲבֵרִים, הָבָה וּנְבָרֵךְ. נָתְנוּ לוֹ כּוֹס שֶׁל בְּרָכָה וּבֵרַךְ. וְהַחֲבֵרִים כֻּלָּם הָיוּ בְחֶדְוָה, שֶׁהֲרֵי מִיּוֹם הַהִלּוּלָא שֶׁל רַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר לֹא שָׂמְחוּ הַחֲבֵרִים כְּאוֹתוֹ יוֹם שֶׁיָּשְׁבוּ שָׁם. הִקְדִּימוּ וּבֵרְכוּהוּ בְחֶדְוָה בִּרְצוֹן הַלֵּב. אָמַר אוֹתוֹ תִּינוֹק, אֵין לָכֶם לְהִפָּרֵד אֶלָּא מִתּוֹךְ דִּבְרֵי תוֹרָה, וְכָךְ לָמַדְנוּ.
\n127. פָּתַח וְאָמַר, (שמות יג) וַה’ הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם יוֹמָם בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן וְגוֹ’. וַה’ – זָקֵף טַעַם לְמַעְלָה, לָמָּה זֶה? אֶלָּא בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה כַּמָּה נָאֶה וְיָפֶה הָיָה לַכַּלָּה הַזֹּאת שֶׁהָיְתָה כְפוּפָה עַד עַתָּה בַּגָּלוּת, וְכָעֵת הוֹלֶכֶת בִּזְקִיפוּת רֹאשׁ בְּאוּכְלוּסֵיהַ בְּשִׂמְחָה.
\n128. בְּוַה’ זָקֵף טַעַם לְמַעְלָה. הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם יוֹמָם. עַד כָּאן לֹא יָדַע אִם כַּלָּה זוֹ הָלְכָה לִפְנֵיהֶם אִם לֹא, שֶׁהֲרֵי טַעַם מַפְסִיק בְּוַה’. אֶלָּא הִיא הָיְתָה שָׁם, אֲבָל מִי שֶׁהָלַךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם, זָקֵן עֶלְיוֹן, בַּעַל הַבַּיִת, אוֹתוֹ שֶׁהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא נִשְׁבַּע (שֶׁהִזְמִין) לוֹ, וּמִיהוּ? אַבְרָהָם, שֶׁכָּתוּב (תהלים מב) יוֹמָם יְצַוֶּה ה’ חַסְדּוֹ. וְכָתוּב (ירמיה לא) אִם לֹא בְרִיתִי יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה. יוֹם שֶׁכָּל הַיָּמִים כְּלוּלִים בּוֹ, יוֹם שֶׁל שְׁאָר הַיָּמִים, הוּא שְׁאָר כָּל הַיָּמִים בְּוַדַּאי. וְעַל זֶה נִקְרָא יוֹמָם וְלֹא יוֹם, וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם יוֹמָם. הוּא הוֹלֵךְ בַּיּוֹם, וְהַכַּלָּה הוֹלֶכֶת בַּלַּיְלָה, שֶׁכָּתוּב וְלַיְלָה בְּעַמּוּד אֵשׁ לְהָאִיר לָהֶם, זוֹ כַּלָּה, כָּל אֶחָד כָּרָאוּי לוֹ. וְאַתֶּם חֲבֵרִים, יוֹמָם וָלַיְלָה יִהְיֶה לִפְנֵיכֶם בְּכָל שָׁעָה. נְשָׁקוּהוּ וּבֵרְכוּהוּ כְּמִקֹּדֶם וְהָלְכוּ.<\/div>\n

\nThe friends gave the child the cup for the blessing and he did so. They were with great joy that day and blessed the child for his great revelations.

\n“וַיהוָה הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם יוֹמָם בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן לַנְחֹתָם הַדֶּרֶךְ וְלַיְלָה בְּעַמּוּד אֵשׁ לְהָאִיר לָהֶם לָלֶכֶת יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה.”
\n“And YHVH<\/a> was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.”
\nAnd YHVH<\/a> was going before them is the aspect of YHVH<\/a> in Malchut<\/a>. Above the YHVH<\/a> we have the cantillation<\/a> mark called ‘פזר’,‘Pazer’ that is rising straight up. It represents the Malchut<\/a> that was enslaved in exile and now walking tall, with pride and joy.

\nThe cantillation<\/a> mark above the YHVH<\/a> creates a tune that stops after the word YHVH<\/a>. The Zohar asks if so, then who is walking with them? And explains that ‘by day to lead them’ is the aspect of Abraham that is Chessed<\/a> as it said ‘his Chessed<\/a> in daytime’.
\nPsalms 42:9<\/a>
\n“יוֹמָם יְצַוֶּה יְהוָה חַסְדּוֹ וּבַלַּיְלָה שִׁירוֹ עִמִּי תְּפִלָּה לְאֵל חַיָּי”
\n“YHVH<\/a> will command His lovingkindness (Chessed<\/a>) in the daytime; And His song will be with me in the night, A prayer to the God of my life.”
\nAll the sefirot of Zeir Anpin<\/a> are included in Chessed<\/a> because it is the first one and channels the Light from the upper three to all the lower sefirot.
\n‘a pillar of fire by night to give them light’ is the Shechina in Malchut<\/a>. Zeir Anpin<\/a> is the aspect of day and Malchut<\/a> is the aspect of Night.
\nLesson:
\nDuring the day we have the light of Chessed<\/a> that leads us. At night we pray and connect to the Shechina to shine light on our ways.
